Jet and Cord McCoy from The Amazing Race 16

Dan and Jordan Pious may have won The Amazing Race on Sunday night's season finale but the award for fan favorite definitely goes to another set of brothers, cowboys Jet and Cord McCoy. Jet and Cord ran the race clean, never forming alliances, never throwing any team under the bus. They never fought, they never cracked under pressure, and that attitude took them all the way to the final leg - only to finish in second. Today, the cowboys talked to RealityWanted in an exclusive interview about their reasons for going on the race, their positive attitudes, and how they feel about Dan and Jordan's win.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What was your main motivation for going on The Amazing Race? Was it money, being on tv, the competition, or the opportunity to see the world?
A. Jet: I think it was more about the competition than anything. Me and Cord... the opportunity for money... it kinda comes and goes. Obviously, the opportunity to be on tv was pretty nice. Cord and I have been in competition our entire life, though. Everything we've done has been a competition. When they said it was a race for a million dollars, we couldn't turn that down.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Did anyone stand out to you as a threat or a team to look out for?
A. Jet: I don't think so. I mean, obviously, Jeff and Jordan won the first leg so it was real easy that night to say that they were competitors. Of course, along the way, Mike and Louie made a good showing. There were definitely different points along the race that teams shined. Me and Cord tried to stay focused on running our race.
A. Cord: I don't really think there were any other teams that intimidated us.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You both ran a really clean race and a nice race. Was that something that you planned on doing, going in?
A. Jet: Absolutely! Cord and I really kept that thought in mind when we went into the race. That was one of our goals was to run the race just that way. The thing was, kind of like I said in the last episode, win, lose, or draw, I wanted to leave knowing I did my best.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You could've made a big deal about the fact that Dan and Jordan cut you in line at the airport or you could have pushed Jordan out of the way in that final task at LucasArts. What stopped you?
A. Jet: I think the biggest thing was me and Cord tried to stay focused on the race. I think that was the thing that made the difference for us. We had the opportunity to be confrontational and make a big scene but we figured that wasn't make us any faster.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: The race can be so stressful. How did the two of you manage to keep your cool and not fight or freak out?
A. Cord: I think each leg had its own challenges. If you let it there's all kinds of opportunities to throw a fit. I gotta go back to what Jet said. We knew doing those things wouldn't make us faster.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How do you feel about Dan and Jordan's win?
A. Cord: Right when we walked up to the finish line, Jet and I shook their hands and congratulated them on their big win. I told them use the million dollars wisely.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What's it been like since the show has aired for the two of you?
A. Jet: It's been crazy! I really had no idea the viewership that this thing has, just how big this race really is. When we first applied, me and Cord were like, "Okay, it's a race." We were just looking forward to that. We didn't really know what we were getting into but the fans have been great. It's been so amazing. You hear all kinds of horror stories about crazy fans. It's been awesome.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What are the two of you up to now?
A. Cord: I'm putting on my own professional bull riding show the last weekend of May. This year, we're doing things a little different and definitely giving back to the community. We're having a fundraiser for Relay For Life to give money to the American Cancer Society. I think Jet and I have been put in the spotlight and this is our first choice is to give back.
