This week on America’s Best Dance Crew, two crews are eliminated after revisiting the 1970s for the disco challenge.
Each crew, along with their disco move, must also incorporate a lift into their routine.
Blueprint Cru was granted immunity this week and they performed first by including the funky guitar in their dance. JC Chasez thought it was a fun number. Omarion said they embraced the task at hand. Lil Mama thought it was very fun and creative.
Saltare performed next with the hustle added into their routine along with jump ropes that were on fire! Lil Mama thought the performance was interesting but stated the obvious when she added that they definitely set the stage on fire. JC Chasez liked the performance a lot. Omarion said they are a great group but told them that timing is really important with what they do (he was referring to another minor mistake they made).
Mario Lopez announced that Poreotix and Hype 5-0 will be moving on to next week’s episode. Unfortunately Jungle Boogie and Heavy Impact are both apart of the bottom three.
Poreotix was given a challenge that suits them well – the robot. Omarion thought they rose to the occasion and added that it was the first time he saw them use the stage more. Lil Mama said they stepped it up. JC Chasez thought it was a really entertaining performance.
Hype 5-0 had the electric slide in their disco performance. JC Chasez liked the lifts. Omarion thought they came out strong. Lil Mama said there was one section that really popped out to her.
Heavy Impact, Static Noyze and Jungle Boogie were the bottom three this week. With two of them going home, the stakes were incredibly high and it was clear these crews were definitely beginning to sweat more than they ever have before.
Heavy Impact once again performed to prove bigger is better using “the strut” in their dance. Omarion noticed that they really enjoyed themselves on stage.
Static Noyze was up next using the “staying alive finger points.” Lil Mama thought they put their hearts into what they do and they do it well.
Jungle Boogie included “the bump” in their routine. JC Chasez said it was playful and fun and he really enjoyed watching the performance.
Only one crew is moving on to next week and the judges chose Jungle Boogie! I’m going to have to say I disagree with the judges on this one. Heavy Impact really deserved it. Regardless of my unprofessional opinion, congratulations to Jungle Boogie! They are also an outstanding crew much deserving of moving on next week.
