Supreme Courthouse  – Hobart, Tasmania

If this were “Destination Truth” Josh Gates would be searching for the famous “Tasmanian Devil” but this is Ghost Hunters International and apparitions and disembodied voices are on the menu.  Built in the 1831, it was initially used as a prison and then later converted to a courthouse.  This old school courthouse is where those who committed horrible crimes were hung on site, 32 to be exact.  There would have been more but people in the city realized there were severe consequences for their crimes…how novel.  Disembodies voices, doors opening and closing, and apparitions have all been experienced by workers and visitors.  The caretakers call their ghost “Ivy” and her presence is initially known by the scent of a strong perfume that comes out of nowhere.

Robb Demarest, Brandy Green, Joe Chin, and Ashley Goodwin tagged teamed the biggest courtroom were most of the activity has been reported.   Robb decided to call out a criminal named “John Gould” that he believed had made his way through the court many years ago and apparently has a special connection with Ashley from a previous investigation.  Not long after Robb called him out a big noise rang out and nobody on the team could find out where the noise came from.  A “well timed coincidence” was the best that Robb could come up with.

Robb and Ashley headed out to the hanging platform where a 1800 style dressed ghost has been seen.  The area itself doesn’t need an

apparition to give you the creeps, especially at night.  Robb thought he might have caught something on his still photos that they would analyze later.

Barry Fitzgerald, Dustin Pari, and Paul Bradford headed to the main courtroom and of course Barry began hearing things, seeing things, yada, yada, yada.  Either he is really that clairvoyant or he’s still trying to work out an acting gig.  Nobody hears, feels, or see things more than Barry.  Nothing to report here.

Robb, Joe, Brandy, and Ashley went to the courtroom #2 where “Ivy” has been reported to stir up some excitement.  Apparently Ivy had a hot date that night because she did not make an appearance.

Wasn’t too much to report, as far as evidence was concerned.  The team couldn’t call the courthouse haunted so the stories will have to go unexplained.

Kellie’s Castle - Batu Gajah , Malaysia

William Kellie Smith had the castle built to celebrate his good fortune and his wife and kids.  He snuck in 75 workers from India to build

the castle.  A terrible disease killed off over half the workers and the castle itself never did get finished before Kellie himself died. The

city took over the castle in 2000 after it became a forgotten ghost town, pun intended.  The caretakers believe they have seen William roaming the corridors.  A young girl is also seen along with floating lights in various areas of the castle.

Barry and Dustin started the investigation out in the stables and the did record some type of incense smell that may have been a sign from one of the workers from India that died from the influenza that decimated the builders.  No additional activity was noticed.

Robb chose Ashley to help him investigate the corridors of the castle were William Kellie Smith is said to appear on multiple occasions.

There was some type of noise that was heard while they were doing an EVP session but nothing that could be labeled paranormal.

Paul and Joe tried to get the attention of the small child seen in one of the bedrooms. The caretakers believe the girl being seen is Helen, he daughter of William.  They did an EVP session and maybe something would come up on review.

The review of the evidence showed nothing paranormal but the team did have time to review some footage taken by a security camera that showed a floating light appear and then take off in the corridor area.  Turns out it was a bat and the light was a reflection from it's eyes off the camera light.  The team could not call the castle haunted and so this episode went 0-2.
