This weekend, nine new contestants will lock themselves away from society and everyone that they know and love in order to compete on Fox Reality’s Solitary 4.0.  Six of those contestants hail from RealityWanted.  They are: Tyler Tongate, Bea Henington, Rommel Garoles (who also appeared on America’s Toughest Jobs), Courtney Hill, Rhoda Lucero, and Nic Leland (who also appeared on Wipeout).  Whichever of the nine can last the longest, and complete the tasks given to them by their digital taskmaster Val, will walk out of their pod with $50,000 and bragging rights.

For those who have wondered just what it’s like to be confined to one of those pods, we sent our very own Jen Johnson (of Big Brother 8) to step in and find out.   "It was tiny.  I mean, when I took a step in, I was half way across the pod,” she said of her experience in there.  "I couldn't imagine staying in that pod for longer than a day.  They appear much bigger on tv and on camera than really are.”

Former contestant Maureen Francisco, of Solitary 3.0, will be covering the new season for RealityWanted.  A member herself, she and fellow contestant Rob Hakel landed spots on the show thanks to casting producers finding them on the site.

Fans of Solitary have worked avidly to keep the show on the air and are trying to convince FOX or TruTV to pick it up, by launching the site savesolitary.com.

Solitary 4.0 premieres Saturday, January 30, at 10pm ET on The Fox Reality Channel.
