Andrew Woods from The Real World DC

Believe it not, with Andrew Woods of The Real World: DC, what you see is what you get. From the panda hat to hoping to be DC's biggest man whore, Andrew will probably walk away at the end of this season as the most memorable character. He's tried (and failed) to hook up with many girls, including his roommate Callie. Despite that, you can't help but love his boyish charm and his fun, carefree demeanor. Today, Andrew talked to RealityWanted in an exclusive interview about his experiences on the show and where he hopes to go from here.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Were you a fan of The Real World in the past? What made you want to try out this season?
A. Andrew: Yeah, I was a fan of not EVERY season. I've always watched it here and there. I've always liked certain characters. What made me want to do the show was that I thought that I could be somebody different on that show. It was really my brother's idea. He was a big fan of The Real World and he convinced me to come along to an open call in Boulder on the CU campus.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: There are some people who think maybe you're putting on an act at times but, in her interview with RealityWanted, Emily reassured us that you're totally sincere. So that's really you that we're seeing?
A. Andrew: That's how I am. I guess I'm just a wild and crazy guy. I've always been a little off. I blame my parents. They're just a bunch of weird people and it spread down to the apples. On the show, you're living your life and you're just being followed around the camera and you try not to think about it but we all thought about who was gonna be aired the most. I honestly thought I was never gonna be on the show because I was not dramatic.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Were you surprised that your sexual history and whether or not you're a virgin has been such a hot topic of conversation?
A. Andrew: That sucked. It was honestly like a two minute conversation. It was a fun joke and now, that is what people remember the most. You never know what's gonna stick. I worked very hard on my reputation as a man whore while I was there... building myself up to that reputation and then, in one fell swoop, it was taken away.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Speaking of the girls you brought home, do people come home with you guys because they're interested in you or because you're on tv?
A. Andrew: I don't like to rip on the girls that I brought home. I was always really nice to them. But I knew what this was about. I knew that it was just - you like me because I'm on tv kind of thing. It's not gonna stop me. It's not like I'm gonna interrupt anything in progress to talk about how I'm feeling about it.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How were you guys treated by the locals while you were filming the show?
A. Andrew: I met some of the greatest people in DC. There was some really, really nice people. People who wanted to get to know me and stuff like that. There were actually a lot of really cool people there. There are a lot of fans of the show in DC. I think the nicest people were the gays. The LGBT community was very affectionate.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Speaking of the gay community, there's been a lot of talk about Emily's and Mike's sexuality this season and whether or not there's a double standard with them. What's your take on them?
A. Andrew: I thought it was... I hate putting it this way but I was never really convinced about Emily. With Mike, I could tell he was definitely a bisexual.  I think it was just really new for Emily. She's not as old as Mike and I think it was just about being a little standoffish when it came to being filmed and being attracted to girls, stuff like that. She just had to adjust to it. She had no problem hooking up on camera. She was not very enthusiastic about the girls she met.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How would you sum up your time in The Real World house?
A. Andrew: I would say there are moments of joy, there's moments of sadness, it's just a mixed bag. Mostly, it was just a really happy time. It was a great summer.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What do you want to do now? Do you want to do more in the entertainment field or go back to a regular life?
A. Andrew: I don't think that's possible! I'm spotted everywhere I go. I want to try to get my cartoon back and also, I've been thinking about ... this is weird but I've been thinking about doing standup comedy. I failed my public speaking class. I don't know how well that's gonna work out.
