The Eden Hotel   La Falda, Argentina

The Eden Hotel, built in 1899, is considered the most haunted place in Argentina.  Built as a getaway for the wealthy, it claims the Prince of Whales and Albert Einstein as former guests.  These days the hotel serves more as a tourist attraction and a rotting historical building all at the same time….perfect for paranormal activity.  The hotel actually has a section that serves as sort of a hospital for the rich and kept it’s residents in the hospital a secret to the outside world.  Some feel those who did not survive their illness now see themselves as permanent guests.  A daughter of the resident doctor, who died of tuberculosis, is said to engage little kids visit the old hotel.  Parents report seeing their children playing and communicating with an empty space.  Shadow figures have been reported by multiple hotel workers and current caretakers.  The dining room is said to still harbor the noises of people talking and plates clanging.  Finally, the cries of a baby who died of hypothermia continued to be heard.

Team leader Robb Demarest and Brandy Green began to immediately to try and contact the little girl that so often grabs the attention of the children visiting the hotel.  At one point during Robb’s questioning they heard a faint response this was then followed by a cold spot, close to the floor, which kept moving after Robb asked the girl “would she show them around the hotel.”  The little girl may very well have been trying to take their hand and lead them through the halls.

Robb, Joe Chin, and Ashley Godwin focused their attention on the dining hall and were hoping to make contact using the EMF meter as a detector.  As Robb began asking questions, the EMF detector reacted to his questions and began to light up.  They believe they may have encountered an intelligent spirit who was more then willing to try and communicate with them.

Dustin Pari investigated the caretakers house and tried to contact the “crying baby.”  As he was asking questions during his EVP session, something made a noise out in the hallway.  As he made his way and kept up his questioning, some grayish, small figure went right passed him.  Freaked him out a little and that can be hard to do to this group of professionals.

Outside of their personal experiences the team got a few really creepy EVPs.  Dustin asked, “Would you like to play?”  The response came back in a growling voice but wasn’t really audible. Another EVP came when Robb asked “Could you say one of our names?”  The response “Why,” although I thought it said “Robb.”  A few other EVPs picked up during the sessions where something saying “Wow” and “Hello.”  This place is haunted, period.”

Monte Cristo Homestead – Junee, Australia

The large homestead was built for Christopher William Crawley and his family and apparently Mrs. Crawley still tends to the house.  The Crawley house now serves as a museum and if Mrs. Crawley doesn’t like you while you are in her dining room she will tell you to leave.  She’s often heard yelling at her children and footsteps, cold spots, apparitions of Mr. and Mrs. Crawley, and other disembodied voices are often reported by the museum staff.  Another vary active area is the little house where the staff who tended to the homestead lived.  Many reports of apparitions have been seen.  One horrible part of the history of the house was that of a young, pregnant girl, who either committed suicide by jumping out the upstairs window or was pushed out by Mr. Crawley, at least that was the report on one of the caretakers deathbed.  Could it be this occurrence which now imprisons the spirits of the Crawley family?

Robb and Brandy started their investigation in what is called the “Old Homestead” where the caretakers of the Crawley house lived.  Multiple apparitions are said to have appeared in this little shack.  It wasn’t long before they heard what seemed to be a woman’s voice.  Robb asked for some type of noise and some type of noise came from the door area and would have to be listened to more carefully on the computer later.

Barry, Paul, and Ashley tried to provoke Mrs. Crawley in her dining room and not only did they believe they heard some breathing in and out but then a tapping noise occurred followed by the table moving slightly.  Barry believe he heard footsteps as well, but Barry is often hearing things that no one else can hear.

Joe and Dustin spent went to the Crawley’s bedroom to investigate.  As the began their questioning, the window began to rattle and the window itself seemed pretty well sealed.  When they reviewed the evidence they had a few good EVPs.  In response to one of the team members asking if there was anyone who would like to talk with them the answer came back “Pick Me!”  But not all responses are playful.  When one of the team members asked this same question in the “Old Homestead” the response was “Get out!”  I’m satisfied.

Go to the GHI website and watch this episode as it is one of the better ones I've seen.
