The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 5

“All Girls Weekend”

Oh my! I have to warn you, dear reader, if you are not on Vicki’s side, be forewarned! Tonight’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County was so impossibly, mind-numbingly, outrageously jaw dropping, I am not sure how to come at it in a fair and equitable way.  I will do my best…

The show starts with all the girls packing for the Florida trip. Vicki had a business meeting down there, and asked the gals if they wanted to meet up in Fort Lauderdale for a girls weekend while she was down there. All the girls agreed but because some of the husbands cannot let their girls out of their site, they invited their husbands.

Lynne just got a facelift so her husband Frank is helping her pack. Vicki arrives at the W and checks in. Once she found out that Jim and Simon were coming she decided she was going to try to be cool with it.

Tamra, Gretchen and Lynne show up and Tamra is hoping Vickin won’t be upset. She wants the guys to do their thing while the girls do theirs (hahaha!!!! Yeah right! These men won’t let these women out of their site!)All the girls meet up and Lynne looks great, although she admits to being heavily medicated. The surgery is keeping her down, since she is such an active person to begin with.

Tamra and Simon (of course) bicker which gives Vicki her first taste of why she wanted it to be an all girls weekend, she invited her girlfriends and not their husbands (who demand the women’s attention, bicker with them, dominate the conversations, expect the women’s worlds to revolve around them, and then may or may not be friendly to the other women). Vicki says that things are different with the men around and it shouldn’t bother her but it does (of course!!). “Let your wife just have some girl time”. She says.

Slade shows up to Vicki’s real dismay, and she is just shocked.

The gals go on their ONLY solo trip, a helicopter ride, a drive and then an air boat. Only Vicki, Gretchen, Lynne and Tamra go, as Alexis is not there yet. They have a blast and Gretchen and Tamra are surprisingly agreeable with each other.

When they get back in, Alexis is there, waiting for them. Vicki isn’t a big fan of Alexis’s and says that "she wants everyone looking at her and knowing what she is doing", and says she should “put it away.” The girls all want to go out after dinner, but Vicki isn’t interested in going out afterward with all the men. At dinner, Vicki also asks Gretchen why she is going out with Slade. “There are a lot of boys out there, why Slade?” According to Gretchen, Slade is there for her 100% They have been dating about 6 months at this point and Gretchen believes they will get married. Vicki rolls her eyes, she thinks Gretchen is in a brand new relationship with Slade and that he went through this with Jo already. She asks Gretchen how Jo is handling their relationship and Gretchen admits that Jo is upset with it.

Vicki goes back to her room saying “I wanted girl time, not girl plus husband time”

Everyone sort of rags on Vicki afterward since she isn't there to defend herself, which isn’t fair. These guys are awful!!!

Alexis doesn’t understand, she says that they have spent all day together (ummm, huh??? Alexis WASN’T there!) why be mad about the men being there…

Lastly, Vicki has had a sunset cruise planned and now all the guys have invited themselves to go on it, so she opts out. During the cruise, Lynne understands why Vicki wanted a true girls getaway and was disappointed when she finds herself alone with all the couples splitting off on the boat to go have their romantic sunset cruise as a couple. This leaves Lynne alone.

Simon thinks that his wife Tamra has been acting different for the last few years since she has become better friends with Vicki. Simon wants Tamra to choose between Vicki and him…sounds familiar? Just a few episodes ago he was saying that Ryan, her son, was having a negative effect on Tamra and she should choose between them. Sounds like anything Simon isn’t comfortable with isn’t okay with him! What a JERK!!!! Get a life and stop trying to own someone else! What a disgrace…I guess Simon thinks that "ownership has its privileges"
