Team Dance Scores A First On Dancing With The Stars

Well the old guy returned this week (Len) and he was as grumpy as ever.  When I wrote my comments down I felt like the judges copied me, so just know that these were my assessments prior to even hearing what the judges had to say:

Warren & Kym danced the Foxtrot.  It looked a little clumsy to me but you have to give Warren an “E” for effort because he puts forth so much work every week to master his assigned dance.  Judges Score = 21 ~ My Score = 7

Susan & Tony danced the Pasadoble.  This was definitely Susan’s best dance yet but it might be too little too late to save her from elimination this week. Judges Score = 24 ~ My Score = 8

Maurice & Cheryl danced the Cha-Cha.  I thought it was one of Maurice’s best dances yet.  He looked real hot out there!  Judges Score = 25 ~ My Score = 9

Cody & Edyta danced the Viennese Waltz.  Of course we all missed Julianne this week, but I thought even though Cody had a brand new partner, he did a fabulous job!  Judges Score = 22 ~ My Score = 9

Lance & Lacey danced the Rumba.  It was nicely done but honestly it didn’t hold my interest as much as I felt it should at this point in the competition.   Judges Score = 25 ~ My Score =8

Brooke & Derek danced the Foxtrot.  Brooke is definitely back in the running for that crown.  They were awarded the first perfect score of the season and I totally agree that they deserved it!!!  Judges Score = 30 ~ My Score = 10

In addition this week they added, for the first time on the show, a team dance that was also scored and will be added to their individual dance scores.  There were two teams of three couples and here’s how they faired their first time out:

TEAM CHA-CHA:  Susan & Tony / Cody & Edyta / Lance & Lacey ~ I know Susan said she didn’t want to be the weakest link but she truly was.  Watching her at this point is difficult to say the least.  I thought both Lance and Cody did a great job and felt a bit bad for them because I knew Susan’s dancing would probably bring their score down, and it did.  Judges Score=20 ~ My Score = 8

TEAM PASADOBLE:  Brooke & Derek / Maurice & Cheryl / Warren & Kym ~ It was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end!  Although Maurice was the weakest link in this group, he still rocked it and helped his team to receive an almost perfect score!  Judges Score=29 ~ My Score = 10

So Brooke & Derek are back on top with a perfect score of 30 on their foxtrot and a 29 on their team dance.    Warren & Kym had the lowest individual score of 21 but their team dance and the 29 points they received should keep them in the running a little while longer.  Sorry Tony, but there is no doubt in my mind that Susan should be the next to go home. 

Don’t forget – the results show will be Wednesday night instead of Tuesday because of the Presidential election on November 4th.  So make sure you get out and VOTE!!!
