RealityWanted Interview With Ed From The Biggest Loser Families

Q: Last night you and Heba talked about how she should stay and you should go since you wanted to have kids and she needed to be there more than you. Before the show were you advised by doctors to lose weight before having kids?

A. Ed, The Biggest Loser Families: We came to that conclusion on our own, we felt it was really time to do something now.

Q. Have you always had issues with weight loss?

A. Ed, The Biggest Loser Families: Yes, we both had issues. I started putting on weight when I was 10-12 years old and fluctuated throughout my life.

Q. What was the biggest thing The Biggest Loser Ranch taught you?

A. Ed, The Biggest Loser Families: The ranch taught me how to be out of my comfort zone. If you go to work for 8 hours it’s easy to come home and sit on the couch and eat after work. I also made work a comfort zone, I would eat just to eat. When I went to the ranch I got on a regular eating schedule.

Q. How hard was it to see the scale register 0 pounds lost after so much hard work?

A. Ed, The Biggest Loser Families: All I needed was one pound and it was a kick to the chest not to get it, but I knew how hard I worked that week. I probably gained muscle weight that canceled my weight loss.

Q. How hard was it to decide who would be sent home?

A. Ed, The Biggest Loser Families: I hated to leave since we relied on one another for many things, but I knew in my heart this was the best thing for her.

Q. How much weight have you lost so far?

A. Ed, The Biggest Loser Families: I started at 335 and today I weight 245 pounds.

Q. Now that you’re back at work, did you incorporate healthy foods into the menu?

A. Ed, The Biggest Loser Families: On some of my menus there are healthier things but the reality is the people who come in want macaroni and cheese, BBQ chicken, and mashed potatoes.

Q. Heba thought you were due for a big weight loss had you stayed on the show one more week. How much did you lose that week even though you were sent home?

A. I lost 10 pounds after I got home.

Q. What did you think of Bob Haper?

A. Ed, The Biggest Loser Families: Bob is a saint among men, he has really been a true friend to Heba and the rest of the team and I think the world is a better place with him in it.

Q. Do you relay weight loss and healthy eating habit information to your co-workers?

A. I am not preaching to people, my actions speak louder, but my arms are up and ready to help anyone who needs and asks for it.

Q. One last question before we let you go. How are you doing as a couple with the weight loss and how was the reunion when Heba got home?

A. Ed, The Biggest Loser Families: When you see it you won’t believe it, you will be up in your chair screaming.
