Dave Sky The Real World Hollywood

Today we had the opportunity to sit down with David Sky from The Real World Hollywood. Sky a 23 year old, who lives in Myrtle Beach, SC spoke with us about his experiences on The Real World Hollywood.

Q. RealityWanted.com: How did you get on The Real World?

A. Dave Sky (The Real World Hollywood): I went to an open casting call on campus at the University of South Carolina. I met with the casting director and owned the interview. The process took about 4 months to complete but they kept calling me back for additional interviews and eventually I made it on the show.

Q. RealityWanted.com: Our members always ask us about putting together a video, did you have to put one together?

A. Dave Sky (The Real World Hollywood): Yes I had to make a tape and basically I just put myself out there on the tape.

Q. RealityWanted.com: What advice do you have for people trying out for The Real World?

A. Dave Sky (The Real World Hollywood): Make sure you are in every frame of your video. Try to be natural and don’t just say you are crazy and wild, just be yourself. I went for a little bit of humor in my video and it worked.

Q. RealityWanted.com: So tell me a little about your fist day on the show?

A. Dave Sky (The Real World Hollywood): I picked up Sarah and thought I was going to hook up with her but her personality killed all the sexual drive. Basically her personality just sucked to me. Then I met the rest of the crew. Joey and I bonded immediately, he is just someone you can chill with. I then saw Kim and thought I would hook up with her (she was more my type), but wasn’t impressed with the other girls, Brianna was beautiful, just not my type.

Q. RealityWanted.com: Did you feel threatened by the other guys when it came to hooking up with the girls?

A. Dave Sky (The Real World Hollywood): There wasn’t a sense of competition among the guys. It was basically 3 on 3 because Greg murdered his own game.

Q. RealityWanted.com: How was it being locked up in the house? Did you go stir crazy?

A. Dave Sky (The Real World Hollywood): You could leave and do what you wanted to a certain extent. We were there for 4 months and it never really got boring.

Q. RealityWanted.com: Tell me about when you would go to the local bars, what kind of response would you get from the locals?

A. Dave Sky (The Real World Hollywood): You loose a lot of respect for woman at the bars. Girls were throwing themselves at us and over time we had to become more selective. There were nights that got a little wild so you will see some different faces throughout the season back at the house.

Q. RealityWanted.com: Were there roommates hooking up?

A. Dave Sky (The Real World Hollywood): Everyone in the house at one point has a moment with another roommate.

Q. RealityWanted.com: What was your favorite experience on the show?

A. Dave Sky (The Real World Hollywood): Probably being in Mexico. Just being there was great and the people were just so laid back. We left Los Angeles and just got crazy while were there. We just tried not to get arrested.

Q. RealityWanted.com: What about your worst time on the show?

A. Dave Sky (The Real World Hollywood): The viscous fights with me Will and Greg. Having an environment like that puts people at a “breaking point” and there were a lot of consequences because of it. The show taught me to find ways to deal with stuff better and to look back on the incident and learn from it. I learned to express myself better and to have a better understanding of what other people’s struggles are.

Q. RealityWanted.com: Did you bond with some of your roommates?

A. Dave Sky (The Real World Hollywood): Will and I are bonded for life. Brianna, Kim and I are friends too. Joey has been very busy so I don’t talk to him that much and don’t have Sarah or Greg’s number.

Q. RealityWanted.com: Anyone you really didn’t bond with?

A. Dave Sky (The Real World Hollywood): I didn’t care for Greg’s personality that much, he was difficult to speak to but other times we would have great times together. Outside of the house, he is probably someone that I wouldn’t be friends with. Kim was someone that I loved a lot throughout the show but at times I wanted to send her home. We all went through a lot while being on the show and as you will see, this season is way different than past seasons.

Q. RealityWanted.com: So tell me why this season is different than past seasons?

A. Dave Sky (The Real World Hollywood): There are traumatic ups and downs throughout the season, you see people really take advantage of the work opportunities and others that don’t. The season gave us an opportunity to do something different and was more about what you do with that opportunity.

Q. RealityWanted.com: How was it leaving the house in the end?

A. Dave Sky (The Real World Hollywood): I wasn’t really sad to leave everyone, I just wanted to get rid of the mic and cameras. I knew I was going to miss the experience more than anything though.

Q. RealityWanted.com: What are you up to now?

A. Dave Sky (The Real World Hollywood): I have my eye on some other reality shows but have been coming to LA a lot now so might move out here in the next couple of months. Just started a clothing line www.ripredflag.com, it is more of a lifestyle brand.

Q. RealityWanted.com: Do you have a Myspace fans may contact you?

A. Dave Sky (The Real World Hollywood): Yeah it is www.Myspace.com/daveskyonline.com
