Howdy fellow reality addicts! This is your favorite Average Joe Dennis writing to ya. I just happened to be up watching a reality show last night. Coincidence? Nah, my addiction of choice for Monday night was Dancing with the Stars.

Everyone is gunning for Kristi Yamaguchi, who has been near perfect week after week. Tonight for her was no exception, she did a Jive performance with her partner Mark that was alive, technically great, and a lot of fun to watch. Shannon with her partner Derek did a Rumba that was also fun to watch only because Derek choreographs fun routines. They danced to a Cyndi Lauper song but the judges were still not impressed with Shannon's hip movements (or lack of hip movements to be more specific).

I don't know what the judges were looking at, but they loved the foxtrot of Cristian and Cheryl, so I will list that as a highlight. I was in agreement that Marissa's waltz with her partner Tony was 1 of her best dances ever on the show. Marissa said she felt like a princess and she pulled it off with a lot of grace and smooth elegance.   

The last 3 couples to mention this week, had some problems in some way or another regarding the judges opinions and I did agree with most of the comments. Marlee is still defying odds with doing any dancing at all, with her deafness always getting in the way. This week even with the help of her Mambo King partner, Fabian, you could tell that their mambo was off in a lot of places.  Jason is a big guy that is still afraid of showing just how big he is, and his arms are still kind of a problem but he still is a surprise for a big guy on a dance floor like that. Mario got down and really dirty with his dance that was a borderline vertical sex show that split the judges votes. 

All in all it was a good dancing night that led up to the first GROUP dance number. This number was cowboy themed, and all 7 couples got to have their moments to shine with doing lifts and everything that just added to the whole spirit of a great ensemble piece.  

So, I am kind of nervous as to who is gonna get the boot tonight. I am hoping that Marlee stays around, but just don't know how much longer she really can keep it going.
