Paging all reality addicts! It's that time again! Time for your old pal Average Dennis to let you know what happened on the Dancing with the Stars Results Show.

Alas, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I was right yet again for 3 weeks in a row of how I thought things would end. Lovely Ms Marlee Matlin got the boot tonight.

The show started off with the usual banter and then we went to judge Glen for his pick of the best dance of the previous night. Glen picked the ensemble group number with all 7 couples which I thought was a great choice to get them all out there for us to enjoy. Sometimes you just don't get enough of your favorite stars onscreen.

The night also had a few guest performances. Ashlee Simpson performed a new song, while a crew of 4 guest pro dancers strutted their stuff.  We also had 2 couples of kids competing for future guest appearances on upcoming shows. The kids were Brandon/Brittany (age 13) dancing the cha cha cha and Austin/Liza (age 12) dancing the samba. The judges, audience and I loved both kid couples but in the end, the judges chose Brandon/Brittany for a return appearance.   

The other guest appearance of the night, that I never thought would be interesting, was a number from Riverdance. Somehow, that good old Irish music and the tap dancing sounds just get into your soul. For even those without rhythm, for 1 brief moment, we all felt like we could get out there and kick Michael Flatley's butt in any Irish dancing challenge!

Anyway, in getting back to the results of our stars, I have already mentioned that Marlee Matlin was the star that got the boot, but she was in the bottom 2 with Mario and his partner Karina. So word of warning to Mario, keep it clean and PG-rated next time on the dance floor.
