I was homeless as a child login in Detroit Michigan. My family and sometimes relied on caring grocery bags for customer at grocery stores for money to buy food or some of the local churches would help us out with hot meals. In 1977 my father won a law suit in a case where he had been assaulted like Rodney King in front of my mom, me and my siblings. In 1982 my father was paid a lump sum of money and moved us to California to give us a better life. Today I pay it forward and help the homeless.
