Today we participated in a conference call for Americas Next Top Model where Claire Unabia a 24 year old productions coordinator from New York was eliminated recently from the show. Here’s what she had to say:
Q. How did you end up on the show?
A. Claire Unabia, (Americas Next Top Model): I have always been a big fan of the show and after having my child, my husband pushed me to try out. I am glad that I was able to be part of such a great show.
Q. Were you concerned that you might be going home? Would you change anything you did?
A. Claire Unabia, (Americas Next Top Model): Yes because I didn’t win any of the challenges and was ranked at the bottom, so I was a little nervous about being sent home. I think one of my major downfalls was that I was always trying to be what the judges wanted instead of just being myself.
Q. Were there any girls you really didn’t get along with?
A. Claire Unabia, (Americas Next Top Model): I had some choice words with Dominique but I don’t have any ill feelings for her. She is an interesting person yet a little odd.
Q. Was there a lot of drama in the house?
A. Claire Unabia, (Americas Next Top Model): Yes and I think it affected my performance. It was very distracting dealing with it all the time.
Q. Do you have any good advice for girls trying out for future seasons of Top Model?
A. Claire Unabia, (Americas Next Top Model): Be prepared for a tough journey and just try to be yourself. Don’t let all the drama get to you, just detach yourself from it and be tough.
Q. What did you think about the advice you received while on the show?
A. Claire Unabia, (Americas Next Top Model): Jay Manual gave me some great advice about posing with great emotion and making it count.
Q. Do you have any comments for your supporters?
A. Claire Unabia, (Americas Next Top Model): Yes, I would just like to thank all of my supporters for rooting for me along the way.
Q. What was your favorite experience on the show? Do you have plans to stay in the modeling industry?
A. Claire Unabia, (Americas Next Top Model): I had a lot of fun at the photo shoots and learned so much by being a part of the show. I do plan on continuing modeling and maybe get involved in TV and media, also I have a Zombie film coming out soon.
