Neil and Amanda were the third couple to be eliminated from The Biggest Loser Couples. Neill works as a web developer for an advertising firm in Oklahoma City and Amanda is now an art teacher at the Oklahoma City Art Museum.

Q. Carrie, RealityWanted.com: Neil, how accurately do you feel you were portrayed on the show?

A. Neil, Biggest Loser Couples: I do feel I was portrayed accurately but I think they showed more of the negatives than the positives. Since I left the show I am a totally different person. I am no longer the Neil everyone watched on TV.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: What did you change about yourself?

A. Neil, Biggest Loser Couples: I dealt with several emotional issues I had been dealing with for years. When I got home I did some soul searching, Amanda and her family also helped me change my can't do attitude to a can do attitude.

Q. Mark: Amanda, has Neil changed?

A. Amanda, Biggest Loser Couples: I think the portrayal for Neil was accurate but as Neil stated sadly viewers never got to see how much Neil supported and encouraged me during the show. He is a much more positive Neil these days, we workout and have fun.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: What about the comments other contestants made about you Neil. Jackie, from the Orange team, talked to her son about how you were not working out very hard. Other teams said you pretended to work hard when Jillian and Bob were watching you but you kicked back when they turned their heads.

A. Neil, Biggest Loser Couples: It was shocking.

A. Amanda, Biggest Loser Couples: We felt a very close bond with everyone who took part in the Biggest Loser Couples. The comments made by some of the other teams were hurtful and shocking. It's very hard to see the people you called friends make comments about Neil like they did.

Q. Carrie, RealityWanted.com: I'm sure it's hard to see that but many felt he just didn't try like he should have. Another difficult transition is coming home. How have you guys been doing with your diet and workouts since you left The Biggest Loser campus?

A. Amanda, Biggest Loser Couples: It's been going very well and a bit easier at home. We have been working out, watching what we eat, and working with a personal trainer.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: How has it been easier? I would assume some contestants would have a hard time leaving the 24/7 diet, workout, and training.

A. Amanda, Biggest Loser Couples: I think it's easier because when you're on the Biggest Loser ranch your not only worried about weight loss, diet, and training but you also have to worry about game play, challenges, and eliminations. When we got home we had the chance to focus on dieting, workouts, and balancing our lives without worries of game play.

A. Neil, Biggest Loser Couples: It was a lot better at home since I didn't feel like a child. That being said we did stay in touch with Jillian and sent in our daily calories intake. We also found a great personal trainer who has really helped with our workouts.' It has been a little challenging balancing our lives, workouts, work, and family life.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: Speaking of Jillian she looks very intense and she really watched you like a hawk during your workouts.

A. Neil, Biggest Loser Couples: The first week Jillian was very rough but once she figured me out and knew what drove and motivated me she lightened up a bit. She may have been hard on me inside the gym but outside the gym she is a very caring person.

Q. Mark, RealityWanted.com: Speaking of how caring Jillian is outside the gym we all saw how helpful she was with Bette Sue and Ali. Jillian really wanted to dive into the physiological aspect of what caused their weight gain. How much does your mental attitude play in weight gain?

A. Neil, Biggest Loser Couples: It plays a very big role, a much larger role than I ever imagined. Physically I am a very strong person but my mental toughness was not in sync with my physical toughness. Jillian and I worked on how to change myself mentally as well and my emotions.

A. Amanda, Biggest Loser Couples: I knew ahead of time there was an emotional side to weight gain that needed to be tackled. While at the ranch it was the very first thing they had us examine. As a mom I learned how to take time for myself and now know it's OK to do so.
