Tonight on  FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation," the talented dancers selected from auditions will begin to battle it out at "The Academy." Also, the new (next generation) judge, Maddie Ziegler, will join the show and meet the contestants for the first time.

At "The Academy," they will work with top choreographers to learn, and then be judged on, multiple styles of dance. During this round, the SYTYCD All-Stars, not the judges, will meet the young dancers and decide which 10 contestants will earn a spot to be their partners," says a FOX press release.

Who better to judge "The Next Generation" than a dancer from the next generation? Maddie Ziegler is an award-winning dancer who is widely known form her time on "Dance Moms," and she's the perfect fit for the "So You Think You Can Dance" judges' panel along with Nygel, Paula, and Jason.

Tonight's all-new episode of "So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation" airs at 8 pm ET on FOX.
