Champions aren't born, they're raised...and the Summer Olympic Games are upon us!
The road to the Olympics starts at home, where extraordinary athletes and their families sacrifice everything for their dreams of glory in the new Lifetime docuseries, Gold Medal Families," says Lifetime in a press release.
The new unscripted series will follow six Olympic hopefuls and their families from all across the country, disclosing the extraordinary lengths, hardships and personal sacrifices they endure fighting for the dream to get their elite athletes on a podium in the Olympic Games.
The athletes and families included are: Gold Medalisy Gymnast, Aly Raisman from Needham, MA, Diver Steele Johnson, 19 from Carmel, IN, Boxer, Jajaira Gonzalez, 19 from Gelndora, CA, Diver, Jordan Windle, 17 from Morrisville, NC, Rhythmic Gymnas, Nastasya Generalove, 16 from Los Angeles, CA, and Swimmer, Sean Greishop, 16 from Austin, TX.
"Gold Medal Families" premieres on Tuesday, June 28 at 9pm ET on Lifetime with Back-to-back episodes for four consecutive Tuesdays.
