Jamie and Jake are both 36 and both like men. Jake is a horse trainer who is confident in his skills and nudity and Jamie is a wilderness first responder with anxiety. However, Jake brings along a machete and a PSR of 7.3 while the wilderness instructor brings along a kukri and a PSR of only 6.0. Wonder why she is rated so low?

The pair are in the Amazonia jungle along with 2 million different kinds of insects, caiman, anaconda, piranhas and torrential downpours. Their introduction is somewhat awkward given the fact that Jake hasn't seen a woman naked in over 30 years but he's in good shape so Jamie is all eyes for her partner. But the most awkward fact is that they both have knives so there is no pot to boil water after they make a fire with their magnesium fire starter they were given. Guess they'll be standing in the rain with their mouths open wide.

They make their shelter well into night 1, but want to focus on fire, food and water on day 2. Jamie makes a pile of magnesium form the fire starter but all the flames quickly die... as thunder clouds roll in. They figure out that funneling water from the large leaves is the best way for them to drink a large amount of water. However, being stuck in the rain caused so much muddy debris on the jungle floor that huge thorns get stuck in Jake's feet while Jamie is left shivering all night. Jamie is struggling so much with being cold, hungry and tired that she is freaking out. Jake's new goal is to completely remodel the shelter to make Jamie more comfortable so she doesn't tap out. On the other hand, he doesn't feel his partner is carrying her load so he's getting frustrated and that cool, jokester charm is wearing off. When he approaches her about it they realize that they do not approach situations in the same way but it at least gets Jamie off of the bed. And then we get to see the first Naked and Afraid kiss!! On the cheek, but still!

The pair move on to focusing on food. She makes a fish trap, he makes a deadfall trap. However, there's so much rain they don't get much opportunity to look for food. Jakes becomes increasingly paused and confused because of lack of sugar in his system. Jamie offers up her grub worms by telling him she had already eaten so that he could get more fuel. She also ventures away from camp and comes up on water apples. While practicing on their raft they find a tarantula for their grill. At least their getting some protein for their journey.

Somehow they make it through the 21 days and drift their man-made raft through lagoons towards extraction at the river. Jamie left 19 pounds lighter with a PSR score of 6.7 while Jake left 38 pounds lighter with a PSR score of 8.0.

~ Best quote of the episode: "If you would have asked me a month ago if there would be a naked lady on my shoulders I would have said "no", but today there was." (re: him helping Jamie climb a tree for apples)
