Q. Mark RealityWanted.com: What initially got you both interested in being on the show, did you watch prior seasons?

A. Marinna, The Amazing Race 12: We were both very interested in doing The Amazing Race, it's one of those shows people can really relate to and it was an opportunity for us to travel around the world.

A. Julia, The Amazing Race 12: A friend of mine called me and said that CBS was taking applications for the next season of The Amazing Race. My sister and I are very feisty, on the video we actually had a fight with one another which showcased a little bit about who we are.

Q. Mark Realitywanted.com: Did you guys have a favorite past team or team you rooted for from a prior season?

A. Marinna, The Amazing Race 12: I really liked Uchenna and Joyce, they stayed so positive and kept supporting one another during the show. We also liked BJ and Tyler.

A. Julia, The Amazing Race 12: BJ and Tyler were a little sneakier than we were since we didn't really play the game like they did. Also, for some reason my sister and I were outcasts and distant from the other teams.

Q. Mark Realitywanted.com: How did the two of you become outcasts?

A. Julia, The Amazing Race 12: From the beginning, the other teams saw how competitive my sister and I are. Also, Ron and Christina bad mouthed us to other teams and everyone bought into their side of the story.

Mark Realitywanted.com: Wow, as viewers we didn't get to see that. I thought Ron and Christina may have been outcasts since many of the racers were turned off at how poorly Ron treats his daughter.

Q. Mark RealityWanted.com: What was your favorite stop on the race?

A. Marinna, The Amazing Race 12: I loved Amsterdam, I really liked the old school European look and feel. Amsterdam was the coolest part of the race and somewhere I could see myself living.

A. Julia, The Amazing Race 12: I loved Africa, I have always looked forward to going there.

Mark: RealityWanted.com: Speaking of Africa, Shanna and Jennifer didn't look to happy to be there, do you agree?

A. Marinna, The Amazing Race 12: Shanna and Jennifer are fierce competitors and often joke around with one another, it's sad how they were portrayed on the show this week. I know they both appreciated being in Africa as much as we did.

Q. Mark RealityWanted.com: What did you think about last nights show? Donald said something about how hot you guys were, a bit bitchy, but he could live with that. Did you guys catch that comment?

A. Marinna, The Amazing Race 12: I thought it was cute and no offense was taken. However the comment showed what people thought of us, but they never got a chance to get to know us and what we are really like.



A. Julia, The Amazing Race 12: I loved grandpa Donald, he was like that old soldier army kind of guy, and there is something endearing about that. We got short changed this season since there were no boys for us to flirt with, but we did have grandpa.

Q. Mark RealityWanted.com: Who was your favorite team you raced along side with?

A. Marinna, The Amazing Race 12: We bonded with the blonds. We also bonded with Lorena and Jason.

A. Julia, The Amazing Race 12: Yeah, Jason and Lorena gave us part of their room one night. We got along great with them. Lorena is Puerto Rican and we are Cuban so we got along great, we have similar personalities.

Q. Mark RealityWanted.com: Let's talk about those the camels, how hard was that?



A. Julia, The Amazing Race 12: That was very intense and out of control. We were out there for over four hours. Then the lighting started, later it started raining, and then a dust storm rolled in.

A. Marinna, The Amazing Race 12: When it started to storm the camels wanted to sit down and the local tribesman didn't want to keep holding the camels for us. It was overwhelming and we started to lose our minds.

Q. Mark RealityWanted.com: So I have to ask this and I know everyone else has been asking it, but one of you pointed out to Lorena and Jason which Camel would produce milk. Later they passed you guys and you ended up getting eliminated.

A. Marinna, The Amazing Race 12: We did point out the camel and it ended up helping her out. I have been getting calls from family members asking why we did this. We felt like we were all in a war of sorts. At the time I cared more about Lorena than I did the race. I wanted to help her get out of there and it's what my gut told me to do at the time.

Q. Mark: RealityWanted.com: Did they end up thanking you guys after you were eliminated?

A. Julia, The Amazing Race 12: At the time they did not, but we actually watched last nights episode with Jason and Lorena and they did say thanks.
