Bear has made some friends such as; Ed Helms, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, James Marsden, Drew Brees, Michael B. Jordan, Michelle Rodriguez and Kate Winslet. It's clear how many have stayed friendly after he's pushed them off of cliffs and propelled them down mountains. One thing is certain, we have never seen famous people doing things like this before.
When Kate Hudson thinks of Italy she probably thinks of Lake Como and palling around with George Clooney, not a Italian dolomites and eating ants. But that's exactly what she's getting thanks to Bear. To start her adventure Kate gets on a gondola up to the top of a range, what she assumes is that she will meet him atop a mountain. What she soon learns as he climbs from a helicopter to her gondola is that he expects her to rappel 150 ft down. Their plan is tot travel about 14 miles towards the Austrian border. They will be hiking through deep snow, though the mountain to find camp. Then they will decent off of a 250 ft waterfall to end their journey.
Between being tethered together while climbing and finding a pigeon dinner in Mussolini's bunker, Kate recognizes that she has to trust Bear. But is that so easy when your guide admits his favorite film is "Fools Gold"? Just kidding, Bear, it's really cute. Ever see "The Birds"? Well it's your new horror film, Kate... except you get to eat the pigeons after you catch them. With ant appetizers. How will they create fire for the pigeon dinner? How about using gun powder from the bullet they found in the bunker, of course. What a lucky find. Now you can make a necklace from the shell, Kate. By the way, there are 3 simple knots which Bear faves in a sticky situation: figure of 8, bowline and clove hitch. Kate's favorite knots? Her knitting knots... but that is actually perfect for pitching a tent out of ponchos for the night.
This isn't just a survival show, Bear actually gets into the thick of it regarding career, parent relationships, children and openness to marriage. Part camping part talk show all therapy.
