Bryce and Amber are from Garden Grove, are "seriously dating" and are 200 pounds overweight. Amber uses food to push away emotions mostly stemming from abandonment issues regarding her father. She has never shown Bryce her body even in a bikini. Bryce focused on his business of modifying cars instead of his marriage and once his ex wife left he gained another 65 pounds on top of his already large frame. Both are looking to become healthy before walking down the aisle and they want to do it together.

At their first weigh in (at the crowded race track) Bryce weighs in at 306 pounds. Amber weighs in at 249 pounds. Chris and Heidi want to see if the couple can hit their goal weight at the 6 month mark. Their first phase is to lose a combined 150 pounds. Phase II will be about becoming stronger independently of each other, one will go home the other will go to AZ for 3 months with Chris and Heidi. Once the pair truly understand that the second half will be spent apart, they confront Chris and Heidi about the fact that Bryce cannot be away from his 4 year old son and Amber explains that she is trying to form a bond with her future stepson so being away isn't the best option. Chris and Heidi compromise as long as the couple promise to stay their 45 minutes distance apart during the last 3 months.

First stop is to Rocco Dispirito who gives him his book of 75 gluten-free recipes and wants them to practice a new dish together. Next they want to climb Pikes Peak (14,000 ft up) where Bryce plans to propose to Amber... all his idea. If a woman can't get you to exercise no one can. However, the altitude is getting to everyone including super fit Chris and Heidi. Once the medic visits with Amber she continues with the climb and ultimately gets that ring on that finger. Duff from Ace of Cakes will be making the wedding cake.

Enter David Tuterra for the first step in planning their vintage garden wedding. But there's a snafu in Amber's weight loss, she's not losing weight. Heidi knows that Amber is sneak eating so they test her metabolism. If things don't add up her room will be checked for hidden foods. They can see her working hard at the gym but her resting metabolic rate is normal. Amber claims she isn't hiding food even when Heidi finds hard evidence. Finally it clicks and she starts her change. At their first weigh-in Bryce weighs in at 220, 86 pounds lost. Amber weighs in at 183, 66 pounds lost... together they lost 152 pounds, meeting their Phase I goal. And since they are already crying happy tears, why not ask Chris and Heidi to be apart of the wedding and make them cry, too.

Phase II goal for Bryce is to be 210 at the wedding while Amber needs to be at 155. Even though they will only be 30 miles apart they are not allowed to cook or train together. They can't even meet at the store. The next time they'll see each other is on their wedding day. If they can get there. Bryce is having trouble getting to the gym because he has decided to close his business because he didn't care about it anymore. Now he wants to move on but does that mean move on from Amber, too? After a misunderstanding Amber makes her way to Bryce to make sure they're still on the same page, extremely against the rules. A month away from the wedding and Bryce weighs in at 218 pounds, only losing 2 pounds 2 months. Now he only has 30 days to lose the remaining 8 pounds. Chris invites him to AZ to help his progress.

They finally make it down the aisle and weigh in for the last time in front of their fat photos from the beginning... because that's what every bride wants to see on her wedding day. Amber weighs in at 155 hitting her goal on the nose. Bryce weighs in at 205, total weight loss of 101 pounds. Congrats to the beautiful couple and good luck on your new gym!
