Sawyer Fredricks has won Season 8 of The Voice!
Update 5/19/15 [VIDEOS] : Watch Interviews With Blake Shelton, Meghan Linsey Koryn Hawthorne and Joshua Davis from THE VOICE Red Carpet.
Right from the start, Sawyer won America over with his raw, natural vocals and John Lennon-esque style. He remained consistent throughout the whole competition, staying true to himself, and really never having a bad performance. When he blind auditioned, Pharrell seems like an odd choice for his style, but as Christina mentioned during his last performance, the pairing turned out to be amazing.
During one of the recent episodes, Sawyer's family shared his unique story. We all knew he was the boy at the farmer's market, but what we didn't know was that his family used to live in Connecticut and that they "took themselves out of the rat race" by selling their home and buying a farm in upstate New York. So he lives a simple life, and the music that he sings, he really believes.
His Voice legacy includes performances such as "Collide", "Trouble Man", "Iris" and his original single "Please". I'm really excited to see what Sawyer does with his solo career.
For Coach Pharrell, this was his first win. Christina must be salty that Pharrell won on his second season and she hasn't won after six, but there is always next season!
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm EST on NBC.
