RHOA - Nene's Breakdown: Real or Fake?

So on the last installment of the RHOA reunion, NeNe had the breakdown that we've been seeing in the previews. After watching, I was questioning whether the breakdown was genuine or orchestrated.

It all started when Dr. Jeff was invited back to the show, presumably to finish the therapy session that NeNe walked out on a few episodes prior. When Andy asked what NeNe's issue was with the last session, she said that she was annoyed that everyone was playing the victim. She felt like everyone was bringing up their past and lamenting on how their past affects how NeNe makes them feel. She said that she's been through a lot in her life, namely that her father rejected her, her mother didn't raise her, and she's experienced an abusive relationship, but she never played the victim role.

Dr. Jeff carefully explained to NeNe that he wasn't trying to pit everyone against her, but rather give her a chance to respond to their complaints and to voice her own.  When Kenya started talking again about how much she and NeNe have in common she  mentioned their mothers. That seemed set NeNe off and she started leaning into Dr. Jeff and crying and looking like she wanted to escape. Sure enough, she got up to leave and Porsha, Phaedra, and Cynthia got up to walk her out and try to console her.

Here's why I question whether or not it was genuine. Kandi sat down and didn't get up to help her because she didn't understand what set her off in that exact moment. It really appeared as if she thought NeNe was faking the whole thing. This got me to thinking. Kandi is pretty real, so I trust her instincts. If you really look at it, NeNe was about to be confronted forreal about all the mess she's started during the show and how she's acted towards people and there was no way to go. What's the best way to get out of it? Stage a breakdown!

I really hope it wasn't fake and that NeNe did in fact, have the breakthrough that that Dr. Jeff said she did. The timing of it was just a bit suspect. It was nice to see that Cynthia was still there for her, despite previously burning their friendship contract. NeNe was able to fix her hair and makeup and come back to the stage. She admitted that she may have been misunderstood on the show and said she never thought she would have that moment on camera. The ladies agreed that this has been the toughest season ever, and ended the reunion with a group hug.

Tell me in the comments, what do you think about the breakdown?
