Allison Baver is a 34 year old Olympic speed skater (and former model) looking to renew her relationship with her boyfriend of 10 months, Tommy Snider, a nutrition consultant). She's looking for Patti to help them through their own personal transitions. Apparently Patti has been counseling couples for years. Patti is devastated to learn that Allison is living with Tommy without the promise of marriage. Allison is more concerned about Tommy's past as a stripper. Patti doesn't care about the past but sees Allison's assertiveness as the biggest issue. Her plan is to teach Allison to be more into gender roles to bridge the gap and stop the emasculation.

Patti's plan is to shock her into shape by showing her what a growing into an old maid looks like by watching Devin at her mixer. (How embarrassing for Devin!) To help Tommy understand why Allison is so aggressive she hooks up the couple with Wilma, her speed skating coach. To bring Allison into Tommy's world, Patti organized a pole-dancing class. Since she has expressed herself as an intense athlete her whole life, she appreciated the sexy side of athleticism... finally. (During the office visit Patti throws Tommy a ring and gets down on one knee and proposes! She may not have set them up but she kept them together. They have a date set for 2015. For their first dance, Allison has promised to let Tommy lead.)

Devin Alexander is a 42 year old celebrity chef from Manhattan Beach who is opening a restaurant on a cruise line. At 15 years old she weighed over 200 pounds and didn't lose it until she was 26. Patti sees through Devin's bubbly personality and sees someone who's a little too needy. Her celebrity crush is Dean Cain and needs to be 5'10 and athletic. She doesn't mind if he has children but doesn't want the "crazy ex" that could accompany such baggage.

Unfortunately Devin chooses who she normally would and disregards Patti's suggestion. Todd admitted that he didn't have an immediate connection with Devin but since he was picked he's willing to see if one-on-one time changes his feelings. The date didn't look like a connection was made, but Allison see's it differently... taking his distance cues as flirting. Patti may be right about Allison being delusional. (Devin has learned her lesson. She's dating a new handsome guy who has a daughter. Best of all, she's chooses a guy who likes her for who she is.)
