Chris Manzo is a 25 year old restaurant owner from NJ. He is also the son of Caroline from Real Housewives of New Jersey. Caroline admits being critical of the girls her sons bring home so they don't bring anyone home to avoid the judgement. The last time he was with Patti he wasn't ready for love and she considered him to immature. But now the self proclaimed spontaneous traveler is willing. His celebrity crush is Aubrey Plaza and agrees that looks are important. His deal breakers are smoking, bad language and bad attitude.

Max Hodges is a 33 year old investor/consultant from Manhattan Beach, CA. You may know him from TMZ. When his contract was up he played the stock market then went for a surf. He considers himself sensitive and after Patti calls his mother, it's decided he is looking for a normal kind of love.

To get testosterone flowing in these boys Patti has her friend YouTube sensation Jenna Marbles prep them. She suggests that Max reveals something about himself to girls during the mixer and wants Chris to shake hands firmly and make intense eye contact. Before the mixer Patti has the guys and the girls draw what loves means to them.

With the help of Caroline, Patti recruits girls who will nurture Chris, not mother him (they just all happen to look the same with their dark hair). And he did very well with the hand shakes and eye contact. He ultimately chose Amanda, the cosplay girl... superhero costume and all. (Chris and Amanda keep in touch regularly. Chris is planning a trip to California to see her again.)

For Max she chooses Latin, down to earth girls but Max may be too chill to bond. He ends up inviting Suzy, the Bolivian free spirit. They are such a good match that they both show up to their date in bathing suits. Beautiful people unite! (Max and Suzy have been seeing each other. It seems he's found his perfect girl next door.)
