The judges are back and Stacey Tookey is the choreographer for the opening number. Brilliant woman, she is.

The top 14 dancers begin the show finding out the three boys and three girls in the bottom six. But this week FOUR dancers are going home. We finally get to see some solos and remember why these dancers are here... also allowing the judges to save two dancers from elimination. The bottom six are: Serge, Carly, Teddy, Emily, Casey and Jessica.

First up:

Bridget and Emilio: A jazz routine choreographed by Ray Leeper. These "demons from hell" seems more upbeat than I thought hell would be. And where Bridget shone, Emilio slacked, but then the roles reversed.

Tanisha and Rudy: A contemporary routine choreographed by Mandy Moore. It seemed like Mandy was trying to get a stronger connection from these two but overall this sensual piece was just that.

Jacque and Zack: A Paso Doble routine choreographed by Jean-Marc Genereux. Apparently Zack was supposed to be a vampire... well the music fit and the routine should have, too, but the pair just didn't quite pull it off.

Emily and Teddy: A broadway routine choreographed by Warren Carlyle. At least since this was supposed to be a specific piece for sophisticated dancers he got two dancers that could pull it off. But I think this piece should've been saved for the end of the season when the dancers have had a chance to mature.

Jessica and Casey: A contemporary routine choreographed by Travis Wall. This was a sweet routine meant to find a peaceful connection between the two dancers. But the kiss that was meant to "sell" this piece just didn't do it for me. Sorry, Casey.

Carly and Serge: A quickstep routine choreographed by Jean-Marc Genereux. Jean-Marc is known for giving dancers the quickest footwork. But unfortunately only Serge kept up. Carly did well, but this was definitely Serge's dance.

Valerie and Ricky: A hip hop routine choreographed by Twisted. I love me some hip hop routines. Ricky could've been harder but Valerie nailed the doll character. Could be the best dance of the night.

Now the mini routines: The top 7 girls do a girl-power routine by Mandy Moore. A powerful dance that kept the girls in sync and working well together. Also, Academy of Villains dance crew, and their creepy masks, get to perform (I don't know how I feel about the dance crew competition). And the top 7 guys do a routine choreographed by Travis Wall where they are "dancing in the ocean" and Emilio goes flying!

Unfortunately four dancers are still sent home, regardless of their attempts tonight. After the solos the judges saved Casey and Jessica from elimination. The dancers going home are: Serge, Teddy, Emily and Carly.

Next week the all-stars are back!
