Carrie, 25, from Denver has 4 years Marin Corp experience meets Tom, 40, from Tuscon with 14 years of military experience in Cambodia. I can see them clashing already. She comes in with a PSR of 6.4 and a machete and he joins her with a 6.6 PSR and a flint. Their scores seem low for Naked and Afraid participants but let's hope they are high enough to deal with Cambodia's 100 degree temps, poisonous spiders, the strongest crocodiles in the world (3700 pounds per square inch of crushing power), and 30 kinds of venomous snakes (like the king cobra which can strike at 50 mph).

First look at their map shows they need to go several miles inland to one of the isolated creeks. Once at their camping spot, the pair fail to complete their shelter leaving them exposed. Tom wants us all to know that he doesn't want to jeopardize his marriage but if they don't have a fire he'll need body warmth. Once Carrie huddles for a moment for warmth Tom freaks out. Um, Tom. you're wife is ok with you NOT getting hypothermia, dude. I promise.

To hydrate they use thick bamboo to boil the water over their fire and are able to reuse each thick piece. But Carrie is frustrated that her experience is lacking. Tom wants to survive, but Carrie wants adventure. Obviously their butting heads is increasing and malnutrition isn't helping. In order to be alone and possibly find food Carrie heads down stream to find a larger body of water. What seems like paradise has led her straight to a cove where crocodiles hunt for food. Luckily she only found clams. Even bringing home food doesn't please Tom, however.

Carrie has a narcissistic attitude that is getting in her own way. I understand that she would like to see more drive from Tom in regards to helping build a better shelter and find food, but her delivery is beyond inappropriate for a team member. There's no way Tom will take her seriously with her bad attitude. But in Carrie's mind she can do no wrong and needs no one's help. Will these two go it alone on the 6th day or can they make it through together? As we watch Carrie sleep while Tom carries 150lb logs it does not appear so.

Somehow through their nonstop bickering and Carrie's condescension they make it to Day 21. They try to prepare bamboo waters to drink before their trek and some extras to take along with them. But once the hot bamboo keeps Carrie from touching them she flips out and both parties are the epitome of passive aggressive. Why couldn't they use their bags as pot holders? I digress... Carrie storms off, even producers can't find her. And since she has the map, Tom is left high and dry without any knowledge of how to get to extraction point.

Thanks to having to find Carrie, Tom has hiked over two miles and now the pair must hike another 4 miles to their extraction point. They misjudge their trek and found themselves 1.5 miles from their extraction point. If they miss their helicopter they'll have to go back to base camp. In order to make sure the helicopter sees them they build a signal fire. But they still do not get along.

Thanks to Carrie's lack of teamwork her PSR drops to 4.8 and she has lost 11 pounds. Tom's PSR drops to 5.4 and has lost 24 pounds. Maybe they'll come back with new partners and try again.
