Dani, 27, a California hippie can make fire and build shelter. Justin, 29, a Floridian hunter/paramedic can hunt. They are together on the western edge of the Bermuda Triangle pine forest on the barren island of Andros in the West Indies of the Bahamas.

Dani brought along a machete and Justin brought a fire starter on this challenge to get through the thick bush, razor sharp rocks, boas, wild boar, sting rays and reef sharks. She begins the challenge with a PSR of 7.4 because of her lack of experience. However, while volunteering in Tanzania in 2008 her roommate was killed while she hid during a home invasion. Traditional therapy didn't work so she tried wilderness therapy. I'd say that's plenty of experience. Justin's PSR is 7.6 because of his mental reserves... categorizing women as house keepers and men as providers.

At first the pair find themselves at the blue holes. A body of water that is mostly salt water from the ocean with rainfall fresh water sitting on top. They have a labyrinth of cave systems up to 900 feet deep. But not much of a food source for them. Although this part of the Bahamas has the largest land crab concentration and Dani finds herself a big one to share. It is obvious that Justin is none too pleased about Dani providing their first meal. In her defense, he was too chicken to really dig for one anyways. The other problem with the blue hole is the blood sucking gnats. The mud baths and termite nest burnings (apparently when you burn a termite nest the slow smoke repels the gnats and the chemicals that the termites release is the same chemical that is found in moth balls) don't work so the pair have to make their way to the beach for a new chance at survival.

At the beach Dani cries at the sight of trash deposited from the Atlantic ocean and fails to see how it can be used whereas Justin is using the glass bottles to boil water. Dani also loses the fire starter and pisses Justin off to no end. You had ONE job, Dani! Just kidding. It was his fire starter so I'm not sure why it wasn't his responsibility. Dani tries to redeem herself and catches a killer snapper but Justin's male chauvinistic ways get the better of him and he won't even eat the fish she caught. Never mind that it was the first protein they had found in days. His reasoning, "I had to babysit a fire while she went out and had fun." Um... no, Justin. She was working her ass off. Say "thank you".

What's the one thing Naked and Afraid AND Justin need right now? Snake! Yep, here's the infamous snake. But this time a simple snake changes the male's mood so drastically he's actually easier to live with. And now they have a bit more energy to make it to their extraction point. But one question... why don't they build a raft for a week instead of the last minute? Every swim extraction involves a last minute raft.

All is well on day 21 until Justin steps on a sea urchin and the blood from his injury conjures up some hungry looking reef sharks. But they jump on their man-made trash barge and paddle out to the sea plane.

On this journey Dani lost a total of 15 pounds but her PSR rose to an almost expert 8.1 for kicking ass. Justin lost a total of 28 pounds and his PSR rose to an intermediate 7.8, probably because he's still an uber douche and didn't display those hunting skills he bragged about.
