Been to a wedding lately? How many people were there? 1,000? Well, that's how many guests attended from over 30 states for Jill Duggar's wedding to Derick Dillard. The wedding was held at Cross Church in Springdale, AR with five of Jill's sisters as bridesmaids and the three youngest serving as flower girls. 9 of the Duggar boys also participated in the huge event.

How does one feed that many guests? With volunteers and apparently with 3,000 root beer floats, 3,000 cookies and 600 cupcakes! Aw, man... I wish I was invited! The procession of guests was so long at the treat tables that it took Jill and Derick over 30 minutes to stand and greet them all. Popular couple!

Absent from the rehearsal dinner and wedding was Derick's father, Rick, a former police officer who passed away in 2008, but was honored with a hanging uniform as decoration alongside Michelle Duggar's wedding dress from 30 years ago. His mother was also absent from the rehearsal dinner but attended the wedding straight from the hospital where she is currently battling cancer.

It should be noted that yes, they did wait until their wedding day for their first kiss. If you'll remember, the rules of courting are to court with the intention of marriage, side hugs are the only physical activity allowed, chaperones at all times, etc. You can hold hands if you're engaged, and you can kiss (and more) after you're married. Yep... their first kiss was in front of 1,000 people. So after sneaking off to an undisclosed location for their honeymoon, I'm going to assume the the marriage has been consummated now. But it's the Duggars, who really knows.
