19 Kids and Counting: Surprise!

Returning home from a friends' wedding in Tennessee (even with everyone pitching in it takes over two hours to unpack the RV), the Duggars have only a few short days to plan Josiah's graduation party. Because Michelle homeschools all of her children, there's no walking across the stage with classmates so a graduation party is also a ceremony so it's no surprise they will be expecting over 300 people to attend.

As soon as the party is over they all pile back up in the RV and head to Washington DC for a holiday visit with their eldest son, Josh's, family. His wife, Anna, seems a little overwhelmed planning a holiday meal for 25 people. Watching her shop for the groceries, one may think she is in way over her head. One turkey for 25 people?? She cooked 24 dinner rolls, 15 ears of corn, six casseroles, three pies and a turkey in five hours and apparently did it for $4 per person! Don't let me be a naysayer. Where will they all sleep? Apparently in a few rooms in the house and in a "plugged-in camper" in the driveway. Can this be considered glamping?

Then Jim Bob calls with some fantastic (depending on who you are) news... the Duggar clan will be arriving a day earlier than expected! Yay for Anna, who has already asked Josh to clear out their basement and paint it mere days before the Duggar arrival date.

The new addition we semi-meet this week is Derick Dillard. Jim Bob has introduced this missionary humanitarian, currently in Nepal, to his daughter Jill. Do we have a new courtship coming soon?
