The Voice: Eliminations

Wow, that was intense elimination! We opened the first round of eliminations with a performance by team Adam, featuring Adam himself, and that was a nice surprise. Out of 13 contestants, 10 were guaranteed a spot on The Voice.

The first saved was just who I guessed it would be; Josh! I know Usher was happy. Next was rocker Kat from team Adam. With a small break from eliminations, Shakira preform her new single "Empire." I really like this song and Shakira's performance was spectacular. However, I was a bit disappointed that she lip synced the performance. It's ironic that on "The Voice" they would have one of the coaches lip syncing but whatever, we all know Shakira can sing.

Anyway, the next two saved in the competition were, Kristen and Audra. After that catastrophe with the microphone dying, I'm really happy that Kristen was saved. Blake and his team were next up to perform the song "Put Some Drive In Your Country."  Everyone performed well but for some reason Audra was really impressive. Hearing her on stage amongst the other voices, I was able to really witness how pretty her tone is.

Finally, the last five who were saved from elimination were Delvin, Jake, Bria Kelly, Christina, and Sisaundra. Yes! But this meant that TJ, Dani, and Tess were up for eliminations. They each sang for the opportunity to prove to America that they deserved a second chance, which each of them did.

After the three performances, Carson Daly opened a five minute time bracket for America to go on Twitter and tweet which artist they want to stay on the show. I myself hoped that TJ would stay another episode. I was hoping to hear him perform a Michael Jackson song. Just a personal wish of mine.  Dani was another artist who I hoped would be given a second chance. That girl knows how to put on a show.

Alas, it is up to America to make the final call. And guess who they choice.... Tess Bowyer! Hey I'm not hating. Good for you Tess! I can't wait for Monday's performances. Be sure to vote!
