Off the east coast of Australia lies Fiji where we find Alana, a 34 year old make-up artist from Texas and Keith, a 45 year old sober coach from Seattle. Keith dons a PSR of 6.3 and Alana a 6.1. This episode begins with the contestants worrying about physical attraction and sex. Have they not seen the show? No one wants to have sex with you just because you are naked.

Luckily they move past this issue quickly and head to their bags for their tools; a machete and fire starter. Their map suggests they make their way inland to the other side of the island towards vegetation and fresh water. They will then need to trek to another part of the island to a steep lava cliff to their extraction point.

It is obvious even on day one that Keith's addictive personality is dominant. (Who else would try to chop down a tree for coconuts in 102 degree weather when they have a fresh water source nearby?) It is not long before the pair drink the first water that becomes available, even though there is no guarantee of its purity. For Keith this decision does not appear wise. Will this be his swan song? Not quite yet. However, on day 11 he is forced to tap out due to an apparent seizure. He is flown to the nearest medical center on the main island and after in-conclusive testing he remains hospitalized... leaving Alana alone for the remaining 10 days.

Resorting to eating small crabs, shell and all, as well as termites, Alana's last days alone on this island prove she is unstoppable. Now all that is left is a lava hike to her extraction point. Can she make it as weak as she is?

For the first time in Naked and Afraid history, a contestant makes it alone through the 21 days! Keith lost 18 pounds in his 11 days and his PSR dropped to 4.5. In spite of her solo status Alana is down 17 pounds but her PSR rose to 7.0.
