The Voice: Battle of the Bulls Part 2

Part two of The Battle started off with a bang. Shakira paired two rockers, Clarrissa and Jeremy on the classic hit "Cold As Ice". And Indeed that was exactly how the performance felt; but in a good way! The rawness of their voices literally gave me chills. Though they both gave their all, one had to go home, and that one was Jeremy.

Adam shook things up by giving his two team members a song made by his co-coach, Aloe Blacc. His single, "I'm the Man", was a real challenge for Caleb and Delvin because they had to learn to sing with the rhythmic style of a rapper. I love Caleb's youthful sound but, I don't believe "I'm the Man" was the best song for him to sing. Overcome by nerves, his dry sound earned him a ticket home. Though Delvin has a beautiful, chocolaty voice, he might have gotten lucky on that round.

Due to the short time crunch, only select performances were aired. They did, however, leave room for one grand finale. Usher assigned "Give it to Me Right" to Britnee and Melissa. By the end of their performance, it was clear that Usher had two undercover divas on his team and he didn't even know it! He later said that he regrets pairing the two of them up, because after that performance, he wanted to keep them both for himself. Sorry Usher, but that's just too little too late! The person he chose to stay on his team was Melissa.

Although they both did great, I think he made the right choice. Melissa seems to have a bit of hidden talent, and I'm eager to see it unleashed. Britnee didn't take the loss too hard after receiving an offer from not only team Adam, but team Shakira as well. I don't know if it was his speech or that "Adam charm" that did it, but he was able to beat out Shakira and reel Britnee over to his side. I mean this is Adam Levine we're talking about; a girl can only take so much. If you didn't get to see Tuesday night's amazing battles, go to the NBC website and check them out.

Until next week...
