Tonight, the eliminations will bring the contestants onto a whole new playing field. Anyone who moves forward this evening is headed to the semi-finalists, and tonight is the last time anyone can save an artist by using the Instant Save via Twitter.
At the beginning of the night, Adam was running strong with his three team members left, Christina had two, and Blake was left with one artist. A glowing, pregnant Kelly Clarkson took the stage to perform her new Christmas song, which was great. After a few more great performances, it was time to get down to business. Here is how the contestants were saved by America, in order:
Jacquie
Cole
Tessanne
Will
In a very annoying twist of events, Matthew landed in the bottom yet again along with James. He was at the mercy of the Instant Save but America FOR SOME REASON, saved James. Clearly, no one paid attention to Christina's desperate plea to keep him on the show. James flubbed his last performance, and Matthew always delivers. I really think Matthew deserved to be saved. Oh well, what can you do?
The same teams are still left standing, and next week the remaining 5contestants fight for their spots as we move into the semi-finals.
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm EST on NBC.
