Aaron, Amy, Jasmine, and Fik-Shun of SYTYCD Season 10

by Gina Scarpa

When you think about it, it's pretty amazing that two couples who started the season together will now end it together on So You Think You Can Dance. The pairings are definitely a factor in each of the final four's success. Jasmine and Aaryn complemented each other beautifully in the first half of the season, while Amy helped raise Fik-Shun's level of technique and he helped showcase more of her personality.

This is their last shot to impress because next week, America's Favorite Dancers will be named! Each dancer performed six routines, but none showed any signs of fatigue or slowing down. Here's a look at five of the standouts from the evening.

5. Fik-Shun and Aaron: Broadway by Tyce Diorio
It was a battle of the personalities in Tyce's charming Broadway routine, about two guys in a big city. There were treadmills, suitcase, and a whole lotta energy up on that stage. Half the routines these guys were given for their final performance for America really failed to highlight their personalities, so thank goodness for Tyce. It's tough to say which of them came out on top, or who I'm rooting for more. They've both won me over and are totally deserving of the title of America's Favorite Dancer.

4. Jasmine and Fik-Shun: Contemporary by Travis Wall
Fik-Shun's journey this season has been nothing short of amazing and he continues to prove that he's not to be underestimated. Besides the fact that contemporary is way out of his style of dance, Jasmine is much taller than him which can be difficult in a partnering situation. Not for Fik-Shun! This guy takes every challenge he's given and knocks it out of the park. He was there for Jasmine every step of the way and the pair literally looked like they were floating anymore. That choreography and fluidity of movement was breathtaking!!

3. Fik-Shun and All-Star tWitch: Hip Hop by Luther Brown

Fik-Shun was PUMPED to get to dance a hip hop routine with one of his SYTYCD idols, tWitch, and who can blame him?  Every time tWitch steps on the stage, it's a memorable moment.  Luther gave the guys a high energy piece and I couldn't help but feel that Fik-Shun was tWitch's younger brother.  That's one heck of a dancer to look up to and if he achieves anywhere near the same level of success after the season and tour wraps, he'll be doing just fine!

2. Jasmine and All-Star Comfort: Hip Hop by Tabitha and Napoleon D'umo
It's the battle of the bicycle-riding divas in Tabitha and Napoleon's latest creation! Their stamina and stage presence lit up the entire theater and it's amazing to watch Jasmine turn into these different characters throughout the season. Off stage, she's shy and even struggles with confidence at times but you'd never know it while watching this routine. She owned that stage and she may end up owning this competition.

1. Amy and All-Star Robert: Contemporary by Stacey Tookey
If we were discussing solos this week, Amy would've been at the top of the list without a doubt. Oh wait, she's there anyway! She and Robert danced a beautiful routine by Stacey Tookey, who has become my favorite SYTYCD choreographer over the last season or two. The story was about two friends, one who was in love with the other, who couldn't seem to see it. Their honest performance made it all seem real and they danced as if they had been together for years. Is Amy just America's Best Dancer or is she their favorite???
