Allie Pohevitz of Survivor Caramoan

It didn't take long for the Gota tribe members to take notice of a fast forming alliance on Survivor: Caramoan. Allie, Reynold, Hope, and Eddie spent much of their time together, and weren't shy at tribal council about the relationship they had with one another. Though Shamar was on the chopping block for perceived laziness around camp and a loud mouth, the tribe couldn't ignore the foursome after Laura pointed out that Reynold had a hidden immunity idol. Allie had to take the fall for her alliance and was the first Gota member voted out on last week's Survivor. We talked to her after her elimination to get the fan's feedback about her six days in the game and what she would've done differently.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Being a fan of Survivor, do you have a favorite season or player?

A. Allie: I was a big fan of Amazon. It's so different knowing stories about people now and meeting them. Now, I would say my favorite player is Mike Skupin. I just spoke to him a couple hours ago and he was saying I did a great job. I really admired him, he wanted it for so long, and went 12 years without playing.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: The first season of Fans vs. Favorites was popular and gave us some memorable moments. How did you feel about being a part of the second game?

A. Allie: I was hoping for more of a schoolyard pick, with five of them and five of us. I think in Fans vs. Favorites, we're automatically at a disadvantage. There's so many things that you don't know going into it. They definitely had a big advantage. If it was split, we could at least learn from the favorites. I was definitely nervous going out there.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What part of being in the game was the biggest shock to your system, in comparison to what you've seen on tv in the past?

A. Allie: You are always wet. I don't think I was dry from the minute I got out there until I got to Ponderosa. Unfortunately, I wasn't there long enough to be starving. The people and the rain are the biggest issue.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Speaking of, you and your alliance had a big problem with Shamar. What was your biggest point of contention with him?

A. Allie: He was very volatile. It looks like he's just lazy but he ran his mouth 12 hours a day, yelling at us. He was picking on every single thing we did and cursing at us in front of the other team at challenges. It's funny because when we did our pre-game interviews, I never had a good feeling about him. Within meeting him, within five seconds, he told me to shut up. I was glad I didn't say anything good about him.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Being a fan, you must know a twosome or foursome is going to have a target. Was it that obvious that you were a foursome or were there other players in the mix?

A. Allie: We were working with Matt. Matt never made it like he was with the other group. He was like, "I'm gonna talk to them, but I'm with you guys." We thought we had Laura but even after she was with the other side, we thought we had Matt. We thought it was in Matt's best interest to stay with us because everyone wanted a final three with him.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: When Laura brought up the idol at tribal council, was that the first you were hearing about it?

A. Allie: No, I had known about the idol. He wasn't even going to bring it and it was my stupid fault for saying, "You can't go to tribal council without an idol. That's rule number one!" When he brought it back to camp, because it was buried by the water, everything hit the fan. It was Sheri who actually the one who saw it and tipped off Laura.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Was your elimination a blindside?

A. Allie: No, I knew I was going home. It was very difficult because right before, Sheri and I had a conversation and she couldn't look me in the eye. It was really unfortunate. I really thought people in my group knew what was going on, but nobody had any idea.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Being a fan, it must have been so hard to go out first on your tribe.

A. Allie: I mean, it was awful. The only thing that made me feel better was that people said I was the smartest one and I really do feel like I was strategic.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Yes, that was definitely a point that many people made. Why do you think they singled you out as the one to look out for?

A. Allie: Well, I was working very close with Matt and I know it doesn't look like it, but me and Matt and Laura would talk all day long. We would go so far out of our way, in the foursome, to talk to other people and it just didn't work out. I would have conversations with Shari and Michael about the game, and I knew I should've kept my mouth shut.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Now that you've had time to think about it, is there any thing you can pinpoint that you would've done differently to last longer in the game?

A. Allie: There's a million things I would've done differently. I wasn't overly friendly with anybody and I loved the three people I was working with so I spent my time and energy with people. Numbers, numbers, you have to have numbers. You have to make sure you have someone if people bail on you. Shari did a good job of making sure Shamar was on her side.
