We have a double elimination night tonight on The X Factor and even though I think I know who will be heading home, we still must sit through an hour of the show and a Taylor Swift performance. You never know how America will vote, but I think we will say goodbye to CeCe Frey and Arin Ray tonight.
After a look back at last night, Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian get right into the results and we find out who the first singer going home tonight is. Of course, they pull an American Idol and send it to commercial break first! The first act leaving tonight is Lyric 145. I am shocked by this one and I want them to stay. I enjoyed them.
It is time for Taylor Swift to take the stage. She performs her song "State of Grace" for the first time on TV. The X Factor is soaking up these big name artists taking the stage on the results show, as One Direction was here last week.
Back to the results and all the acts and their mentors take the stage. The acts that are safe tonight are: Arin Ray, Vino Alan, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Diamond White, Tate Stevens, Emblem3, Beatrice Miller and CeCe Frey (shocker).
That leaves us with Paige Thomas, Jennel Garcia and Fifth Harmony. One of them is safe and the other two will sing for survival tonight. The next act safe is Fifth Harmony, so that means it is Paige Thomas versus Jennel Garcia in the sing-off.
Jennel Garcia is first and I enjoy it. She keeps it simple and raw and I thought she did a great job. Paige Thomas comes out and is very boring to me, but then brings it home strong. I am torn between these two, so I feel bad for the judges. L.A. sends home Jennel, Britney sends home Jennel, Simon refuses to vote and lets Demi do it, so Demi sends home is Paige. Simon must take his turn now and he said it is relatively easy, so he sends home Jennel and she is headed home.
Now we do the awkward Top 10 rankings from America's votes, which are:
The Top 3 remained the same this week and Tate Stevens remains on top of the leader board.
The X Factor airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8/7c on FOX.
