We took a night off from The Voice because of the Presidential Election and we are back on a special night to finish the performances on the Live Playoffs. Team Blake and Team Christina took the stage Monday night and now it is time for Team Cee Lo and Team Christina to show what they got to earn America's votes and hopefully make it to the Top 12 on The Voice.
Just like on Monday, the teams kick off the night show. Team Christina and Team Cee Lo both take the stage and take on the song "Sing." I am over it and it is too many voices and not a great song.
Adriana Louise (Team Christina) - "Firework" by Katy Perry
Christina thinks she has grown so much in the competition so far. With the audience clapping around her, you can barely hear her when she starts out. She sings a good song, but I didn't see any big differences from the original version and Christina was looking for that. Christina said she is sweet and genuine and she had the most amazing energy and she wants America to back her up.
Cody Belew (Team Cee Lo) - "One More Try" by George Michael
He believes in a past life he was a black woman and I love this guy. He has a great personality and I want him to do good. I love when Cody sings the upbeat and fun songs, but he rocked it out with this slow song. He has a great voice and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Cee Lo said he is very proud of him and he has matured and perfected that performance and he looks like a seasoned professional.
De'Borah (Team Christina) - "Who Knew" by Pink
Christina said she feels like she has to be perfect right away and just needs to relax. It started a little slow for me and ended a little rough, but the middle was amazing. She gave me chills and she is so fun to watch and I just feel the emotion behind her lyrics. Christina said she is so real and so raw and she commands a stage and no one on the show can do it like she does it. She loves the passion and heart that she puts into it.
Diego Val (Team Cee Lo) - "Bailamos" by Enrique Iglesias
He is not finding the song to be as comfortable as Cee Lo is making it out to be, but here we go. I have not been a fan of Diego's all season and this performance did not help his case. I don't see his appeal, but here he is in the Top 20. Cee Lo said he thought he would be in a safe place with this song and thought it would come alive. He thinks he is naturally cool and sexy and the American women will want to vote for him.
MacKenzie Bourg (Team Cee Lo) - "What Makes You Beautiful" by One Direction
This is the Justin Bieber/Harry Potter singer and I think his looks will help him in the votes. He has to sing all five voices with one, but Cee Lo wants to show America he is not a one-trick pony. I love this guy's voice and his look and everything about him. I think it is a great performance and I think he will go far in this competition. Cee Lo thought he did a great job, but he wants to see more energy and interaction with the audience, but his voice sounded great.
Devyn DeLoera (Team Christina) - "Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis
Christina said this is a vulnerable song and she needs to take people there when she sings it. Devyn looked beautiful tonight and she did an awesome job. She put a little twist on the song and I loved it. Christina said she is a powerhouse singer and this showcased a softer side of her and she did an amazing job.
Nicholas David (Team Cee Lo) - "You're The First, The Last, My Everything" by Barry White
Cee Lo said he needs to put some swagger into the song and he hopes America votes for him. If we go by what the point of this show is, then Nicholas David should be the winner. It is supposed to be about the voice and he has a great soulful voice and I loved this, but does he have a look of someone who could win it all? Cee Lo said he made him proud and he can do no wrong and he thinks he deserves to go all the way.
Sylvia Yacoub (Team Christina) - "The One That Got Away" by Katy Perry
Apparently it is all about Team Christina trying to show a softer side tonight, as Sylvia takes on this song and starts out behind the piano. She starts out great and shows off some excellent vocals, but then the song kicked in and it just was awkward seeing her behind the piano. It felt like she wanted to be moving around the stage and she should have been, but a great job. Christina said she gets her and they come from the same place and they connect and she is a true artist.
Dez Duron (Team Christina) - "Wanted" by Hunter Hayes
He said he is not a country singer, but he has faith in Christina. She thinks the girls will eat this up. I think he could stand there and not even sing and still get enough votes to move on to next week. He is so cute and the girls will be voting for him. He does a decent job with the song, but I think he could have done better with a different song. Christina gives him a standing ovation and she has seen such an improvement from him and he executed it well.
Trevin Hunte (Team Cee Lo) - "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You" by Michael Bolton
This one is going to be epic...believe me! Cee Lo is putting him up there with just a piano and stripping him down big time. He has such an amazing voice. He didn't overdo any part of that song and it was amazing. So pure, so soft and so good. Cee Lo said he is speechless and he did so good and no one is going to argue that he can win this whole thing.
