We saw the All Stars hit the workroom last week during the premiere of Project Runway All Stars and the first challenge brought the designers together on teams, but it is every designer for themselves tonight as they hit the club with some disco-themed designs.

 

The designers head to Nine West to meet Carolyn Murphy and Stefani Greenfield from The Jones Group who introduce the next challenge. They will have a disco-themed challenge based on a pair of shoes from Nine West. Anthony Ryan goes first with his choice and the rest follow and Suede saves the day and picks Wendy Pepper so she isn't the last one picked again.

 

They have a half-hour sketch and will be judged on how well they update the 70s look to be more modern. They have one day to create the look and the winner will be featured in the Nine West fall collection ad campaign. They head to Mood to do some shopping.

 

Uli is making a white dress, so she feels she will stick out with all the colors around her. Althea thinks Laura is too much to handle and she wants to hang out with the strong designers. Meanwhile, Wendy Pepper has made a friend on Project Runway! Her and Suede have become close and Laura is noticing it and other people making friends, but she said she is here on her own.

 

The designers feel Wendy is making a look that is more than a costume. Casanova is going with some fringe on his look, but he is worried about time.

 

Joanna comes in for her critique and she tells Kayne that he needs to line up the lines. She tells Uli her look is not about the 70s. She said the word blazer makes her shrivel for Laura's look. Joanna seems to be showing some more personality this season and I like it. She tells Andrae that she never wore a coat to the disco and Wendy's design looks too Halloweeny. Joanna is worried about more material on the butt and abs for Anthony Ryan's look. Casanova wants a comfortable and Joanna loves that word with fashion.

 

We are down to two hours for the day and the models come in for their fitting. They say Ivy's look is not flattering to the woman's form. The designers are all hating on each other as the models head out and time is running out for the day. The night is ending and Kayne brings them into the break room and they have a little impromptu 70s dance party and it was fun to watch them.

 

They all head back to the hotel and they find a special message from Carolyn, who was on a photo shoot that day and she left them a video from the fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld. They are all excited and drink some champagne to celebrate.

 

It is runway day and the designers rush to the workroom to finish their looks. Andrae is worried about time and if he can finish everything. The models head in for the final fitting. Wendy is feeling confident after walking around the workroom. Ivy is behind, so Casanova and her model help her finish the look. Anthony Ryan said he is not helping anyone finish their look and this is All Stars.

 

Carolyn Murphy comes to the runway and it is show time. The judges this week is Carolyn, Georgina Chapman, Isaac Mizrahi and the guest judge Rafe Totengco. The looks I liked: Emilio (loved the color and flow of the dress), Casanova (love the dress and the pink), Uli (it may be white, but the fringe is fun and it had the 70s feel to it) and Kayne (very 70s, but are the lines all in order). The looks I didn't like: Wendy (it looks like her model is a hooker), Anthony Ryan (it looks like a cocktail, not a club dress) and Andrae (too many colors and it looked awful).

 

Carolyn asks the following designers to step forward: Anthony Ryan, Emilio, Laura Kathleen, Joshua and Suede. They are all safe, so the remaining designers have the high and low scores. For Ivy, Isaac said it bothers him that the stones stop in the back. Carolyn said it is a beautiful combination. Rafe thought it was too short. For Wendy, Carolyn said she is not crazy about it and it is too much going on. Rafe said it is everything but the kitchen sink. Isaac said it looks theme park. For Kayne, Carolyn is not crazy about the top. Isaac said it looks like J-Lo up there. Georgina said it is hard to line that up and it is pleasing to see it.

 

For Uli, Rafe said she is the kind of girl he wants to go dancing with. Isaac said he wants more on the back. Georgina said she feels modern. For Casanova, Carolyn said she likes the back. Isaac said he loves the dress and it is sexy. Georgina said it evokes 70s and fun, but she wanted to see it long. For Andrae, Issac said the look is great without the coat. Georgina said the coat needs to go and Rafe agreed.

 

The judges discussed all the looks and they seem split on all of them, but I think they will have Uli as the winner and Andrae is going home. Uli is the winner, so Casanova and Ivy are safe. Uli did the white, maybe not 70s dress, but she won. Kayne is safe, so it is down to Andrae and Wendy. Andrae is safe, so that means Wendy Pepper is going home!

 

Project Runway All Stars airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Lifetime.
