The Voice Season 3

The Presidential Debate happening tonight can't keep The Voice down. With the debate taking place tonight, NBC still wanted to get an hour of viewers on The Voice, so time for some more battles before the final battle between Obama and Romney.

Team Cee Lo: Alexis Marceaux vs. Daniel Rosa - "Whataya Want From Me" by Adam Lambert
This one is tough for me because I like both of these singers and I am not happy. Daniel is having issues with his confidence and he doesn't think he can hit the notes and doesn't want to sound bad. Alexis is classically trained and they tell her she needs to let loose more. Daniel has a weird voice and gets a weird tone when he hits certain notes, but you can hear the emotion in every note. Alexis has a great voice and seems very confident up there. Daniel has this little scared puppy face going on. Cee Lo thought they both did well and represented the team well and he is connected with Daniel, so he picks him and Alexis heads home.

Team Adam: Brandon Mahone vs. Nicole Nelson - "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell
Mary J. Blige said when they get to know the song it is going to be epic. Brandon is scared going up against Nicole, the more seasoned singer. Adam wants to see less from Nicole and less is more and Mary gave some great advice to Brandon, which was so nice to see and hear. To be honest, I think they are both great singers, but this song did nothing for either of their voices. I was not a fan of the song choice Adam. He said congrats to both and they both made him happy, but he chooses Nicole and Brandon is headed home.

Team Adam: Brian Scartocci vs. Loren Allred
The single Dad versus the wedding singer and she delivered in the end, so he chose Loren in this quick battle.

Team Blake: Ryan Jirovec vs. Cassadee Pope
It was demo recorder versus former rock band lead singer and with so much focus put on Cassadee during the Blind Auditions, I am surprised they did a quick look on this one. She has more experience and Blake goes with Cassadee.

Team Adam: Joe Kirkland vs. Samuel Mouton
This time it is rocker versus reggae hip-hop, which is a weird combo all on its own. Adam was happy with what Sam did, but goes with Joe.

Team Christina: Devyn Deloera vs. MarissaAnn - "Free Your Mind" by En Vogue
Billie Joe Armstrong said this is a rock song and if they accidentally spit on them, it is ok. Christina thinks they are singing their asses off, but it will all come down to who hits the big notes when needed. Could Devyn's dress get any shorter? They both did great, but MarissaAnn had a lot more spunk on that stage and I loved her. Christina said they both took notes on what they told them, but she picks Devyn. Blake likes MarissaAnn and he steals away, so she moves on to the Knockout Round.

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC.
