The teams are complete on The Voice and to waste another night and keep me from seeing the Battle Rounds, NBC has decided to do a show of the best of the Blind Auditions. It could be good. Maybe we will get a better look at some they quickly showed earlier in the season. Plus, we will get a look at a behind-the-scenes look at the judges.
Four weeks ago the Blind Auditions started and now here we are. Each coach has 16 acts and it is time for the coaches to look back at their picks and another look at some of the best auditions for Season 3.
For Team Adam, it looks like he is hungry to win again after his Season 1 victory. Cee Lo said he is a car salesman, but he is really good at it. He is a competitive guy and it has caused him to win. For his team, he has Bryan Keith (who got all four coaches to turn for him). After the coaches all fought hard for him, Bryan went with Team Adam. Also on Team Adam are Brandon Mahone, Caitlin Michele and Joe Kirkland. We all remember Melanie Martinez, who sang her own rendition of "Toxic" by Britney Spears. She was awesome and played the tambourine with her feet while playing the guitar! Benji (the ex-race car driver and screamer), Brian Scartocci (single father), Michelle Brooks-Thompson (bank teller) and Loren Allred (wedding singer) are all on Team Adam as well.
Nicole Nelson wowed all the judges with her take on "Hallelujah" and sounded amazing and strong. She was a standout and all four of the judges loved her, but she went with Adam. He said he is very excited for his team, which we are all ready to see them hit the stage again!
Now a look at Team Blake, who came into Season 3 very confident after winning Season 2 with Jermaine Paul. He wanted to find a singer who would keep on top, but did he? He grabbed Gracia Harrison, who is the first yodeler on The Voice. He also landed some other country singers in Liz Davis, 2Steel Girls (the mother-daughter duo), Nicole Johnson, Rudy Parris (who looked like a rocker, but sang country) and Casey Muessigmann.
Cassadee Pope was looking to start a career on her own after touring with her band and Blake was looking for someone outside of the country arena, so they were a perfect fit together and she chose Blake, even though all four judges turned around. He thinks he has what it takes to repeat this season, but what do you think?
Cee Lo is a character one in his own, so his team seems to be filled with those type of characters. Mackenzie Bourg has suffered a lot in his young life and is glad to be on Team Cee Lo, who the judges compared him to Harry Potter and Justin Bieber. Also on Team Cee Lo is Nicholas David (spiritual Dad), Diego Val (Caribbean singer), Cody Belew (soulful country singer who attacked Cee Lo and hugged him when he found out Cee Lo turned for him), Avery Wilson, Mycle Wastman (soul singer) and Domo (hip hop dancer).
Trevin Hunte had the judges loving him with his "Listen" rendition, but he came from a middle school teacher that told him he would never make it in music...I wonder what they are thinking now? He had three coaches fighting for him, but he went with Team Cee Lo. He feels strong with his team and he thinks he is the team to beat this season.
Now it is time to look at Team Christina and she is looking for a pop diva to bring her to victory and that might come from Adriana Louise, who Christina stood up for and said she wants her on her team. She gets Adriana and then it just goes on from there, as she adds other singers like Aquile and De'Borah. The other coaches think she has what it takes to win it all this season.
Dez Duron did not get any judges to turn around for him last season and Christina regretted it after seeing him. This time she did not miss out on him and fought hard for him to join her team, which he did. She said she has gravitated to a lot of pop artists this season and she is ready to take them to the next level.
We take a look at the coaches backstage in some funny clips before we take a look at the Battle Rounds, which start next week. The mentors for the upcoming Battle Rounds are Mary J. Blige for Team Adam, Rob Thomas for Team Cee Lo, Michael Buble for Team Blake and Billie Joe Armstrong for Team Christina. The coaches also have the steal to use for the Battle Rounds and the singer the coach doesn't pick to win the Battle Round can be stolen by the other coaches! It is about to get exciting next week...you won't want to miss it!
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC.
