Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com) Tell us how got involved with ON THE LOT? Did you apply online or attend a casting call event?
A. Its funny, in late January, I found out about it online. I wasn't going to apply, I just thought I would sit, watch, and bitch about how I could do this our that on the show. Then I figured I should apply if I was going to watch it and say I could do that. I made "Staring Contest" and sent it in to onthelot.com. I don't know if it is still online, you may be able to look it up. I am so glad I did it. My story is a "just do it" story. I went in with a positive attitude. This whole experience has reconnected me to what I love. It has awakened the dream and creative part of me. I had been a stay at home mom for the past 2 years.

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com) What originally got you into film making?
A. I went to Boston University and majored in broadcasting and film. I was very inspired by my professor who showed low budget independent films and it helped me decide what I wanted to do.

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com) What is the biggest challenge about taking part in "On The Lot"?
A. The biggest challenge is coming up with a great idea for a film. We have the tools and people to make a great film happen. When you think of a good idea, it's like a gift from God. Thinking of a great idea is hard and you can't call it up at the drop of a hat. This has been wonderful; everyone is bouncing ideas off one another.

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com) Can you talk about what this opportunity means to you?
A. It means everything. No matter where I land in this process, it will change my life. I always knew I had something creatively to offer the world. It's a huge boost and affirmation.

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com) What is it like to be in front of such well known judges and hear their critique?

A. Its terrifying, especially if you're me. I have shown two films and received harsh criticism on both. I am nervous and on TV thinking about how I appear and hearing people saying the film is not good. I think it will get easier. It is never easy to hear criticism. I try and look at critique as a gift. Even when Michael Bay critiqued me, I was like, "When would I ever have a person like him see a film of mine?" That's a gift but its still hard. You have to shake it off.

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com) Name a film you saw that made you say: "That's what I want to do with my life".
A. I was inspired by John Cassavetes and the Cohen brothers. I knew I wanted to live and breathe in this world.

Q. Mark (RealityWanted.com) Is there anything else you would like to tell fans of the show and aspiring film makers?
A. This experience is one of the coolest things I have ever done. It is very hard at times, but it will be one of the greatest experiences of my life. I just made a new film that will air tomorrow and it was the first time I had a chance to work on a big Hollywood set. I won't ever forget this. I just hope people in America like my work and vote for me. We are not in touch with the outside world but it's great to hear that people like my work.
