Guess who's coming to dinner? Ok, well to lunch, but it's freakin Oprah!! Oprah, as we all know, famously interviewed the Kardashian Klan a few months ago, and now we get to see what went on behind the scenes!
Before we get into that, Kanye turned Kim into his personal life-sized barbie doll this week. In Kim's words, he's trying to get her to be more adventurous with her fashion, but in my words, she's playing dress up for him. He had his stylist come over and clean out her closet, and in return he filled it back up with clothes that he likes. So she has to throw out things that she likes, but keep what he likes? Hm...
Along with her new style, Kim has a brand new attitude. Although her famous name is what kick started her fame, she is wanting to now pull away from doing things with her sisters, to do things individually. Needless to say, Khloé and Kourtney weren't too happy about it. They didn't understand why she wanted to go off on her own, since it's a family business.
Robert was feeling like the red-headed step child once again. He didn't feel supported by his mother and he bumped head with Kim over the name for his sock line. Then he walked the red carpet, and all the paparazzi wanted to talk about was his sisters. I feel Rob's pain, but he needs to stop whining and make something happen for himself. I do believe he is really trying, but he wants someone to do the work for him, and no one is going to do that.
From the time Oprah arrived it was complete chaos. Rob was feeling pushed aside again, and got irritated that Oprah wanted a solo picture with Kim. When Oprah asked Rob if he felt overshadowed by his sisters, he answered appropriately, but I'm sure he wanted to be snide.
Since there seemed to be some serious sibling rivalry going on, Khloé thought it would be a good idea to do a family therapy session. There was drama going on between Kim and Rob, Kim with Kourtney and Khloé, and Kris and Kourtney - it was just a hot mess! All of the siblings agreed that they feel Kris favors Kim, and while all evidence points that way, Kim vehemently denies it, citing closeness with her mother as the reason. When it was Rob's turn to talk about how he feels left out, he shared that he feels besides his mother's favoritism of Kim, she focuses on the girls more in general. He tried to verbalize his feelings, but ended up breaking down in sobs and having to walk out of the session. Poor Rob!! Kourtney ended up in tears when she saw her brother cry.
Part of the problem with having a mom-ager is confusing business with family. While Kris may show her attention to the "clients" that will bring her in more moola, any agent would do the same. Since she is also their mother, it just looks wrong. One thing is clear, this family has issues just like any other. Next week the therapy continues!
