Survivor: One World

by Gina Scarpa

And so, Tarzan remains the last man standing on Survivor: One World. Following Kat's blindside, he has a plan to get himself further in the game and pulls Kim aside to tell her that she has to get rid of Chelsea and Sabrina next. Next, he approaches Alicia to tell her he can convince the jury to vote for her to win (after just telling Kim the same thing). What world do I live in when Tarzan's playing the smartest game at the moment?

In the reward challenge, players have to release three discs by spinning around, then use them to form a decoder to get three numbers, and finally, solve a combination to release their flag. The winner will be taken to a yacht for cocktails, a shower, new clothes, a three-course meal, and they can sleep on the boat. As Jeff would say, that's definitely worth playing for! Watching everyone stumble around was slightly amusing, and they all make it to the decoder at the same time. Chelsea pulls off the win, and decides to take Sabrina and Kim with her. Kim!? Horrible decision. Not only did Chelsea promise to take Christina if she had won, but Kim has had enough victories and rewards for one season.

While the girls enjoy their time on a boat (everybody look at me ‘cause I'm sittin' on a boat!), Tarzan makes his move to reel in Alicia and Christina for a final three deal. Unfortunately for him, there's not a person on this island that can keep their mouth shut and not run to Kim with every little piece of information. The minute those baby blue eyes return to camp, Alicia runs to tell her everything and they realize they were THIS CLOSE to getting Tarzaned. I thought he was going to be able to pull it off, too. Does that mean I got Tarzaned?

For the immunity challenge, players work with one hand tied behind their backs to complete a fish skeleton puzzle. Kim had a decent lead but lost it going into the third round, which opened the door for Alicia to win. Well, considering Tarzan and Chelsea are the ones on the chopping block, no one seems too upset about the outcome. And it's probably a good thing that Kim didn't win something for once.

Knowing that it's possible Chelsea could go home, Kim isn't willing to play her hidden immunity idol to save her. Don't get me wrong. Kim is a good player but I'm not sure the jury will value someone who seems to have allegiance to no one but herself. She just better hope they're not bitter. At tribal, Sabrina admits that she's not surprised that she's still in the game and Tarzan says the right person goes home each time - well, that didn't win him any favor with the jury. He feels misunderstood but it's hard to understand a guy that wears Kat's dirty bathing suit bottoms on his head around camp. Alicia calls out Chelsea for bringing Kim on the reward but in the end, the women come together one last time to take out the last man standing - goodbye, Tarzan. Off into the jungle you go...
