The Celebrity Apprentice Season 5

by Todd Betzold

We have seen Lisa and Dayana fight it out in almost every boardroom on The Celebrity Apprentice, but Dayana has escaped every week from getting fired...will that continue tonight?

Clay is not happy to come back with Dayana over Penn, but such is life and they have to move on...and I think Dayana is going to be on her own this upcoming task. We then get to see Aubrey visit her charity, GLSEN, to deliver her winning check of $50,000.

Time for this week's task: write and produce a 90-second jingle for Good Sam's Roadside Assistance Product and then the teams will perform their jingle in front of a live audience. The teams will be judged on the actual jingle, brand messaging and the performance itself. The project managers for this task will be Arsenio for Team Unanimous and Dayana for Team Forte. The winning project manager will get $20,000 from Trump, $25,000 from Good Sam and 100% of the profits from the Good Sam mascot.

Team Forte determines that Clay must be singing for the jingle. Dayana wants to throw out words that rhyme, but Clay says they need to get the melody first...he is getting frustrated because this is his forte, but he is not project manager and feels Dayana is not suited for this task.

Team Unanimous talks and Aubrey thinks they should do a cheerleading-type jingle, which Arsenio shot down. She then came up with a tap dancing-type jingle, which Arsenio shot down. Then the fighting starts...Aubrey wants to help him and Arsenio said all her ideas will win then it gets awkward. He says Aubrey shuts down if you don't listen to her, but then he won't listen to her because he has a grudge against her, so any idea she comes up with he shoots down...they are screwed.

They get to the recording studio and Team Unanimous has no idea what they are doing. Arsenio and Aubrey are still butting heads and then the executive from Good Sam comes in. Aubrey asks if they can be more creative and he said to remember that children, parents, grandparents will watch it. He said just remember the brand is the most important thing to him. Aubrey drags the idea of the mascot being a cheerleader for the company out of the executive, which gets Arsenio onboard of doing a cheerleading theme.

For Team Forte, Clay and Lisa come up with a ‘50s-‘60s theme for the jingle, which Dayana wants to then bring it up to the ‘80s. Clay and Lisa come up with the idea without really getting Dayana's approval. The executive tells them to not play it safe, which Clay thinks the ‘60s theme is not safe by going for a specific genre. The musicians arrive to help Team Unanimous out with their track...Aubrey kind of takes over and Arsenio is fine with that because this is her forte. She starts leading the melody and lyrics of the jingle and wants Arsenio to rap.

The musicians arrive and work with Team Forte...Dayana doesn't understand the music genres, so they have to go through the songs to get her on board. She eventually likes the ‘60s theme and then wants the band to add some pink into the song...let the reins go and let Clay take over Dayana.

The graphic designer arrives and Arsenio puts Teresa in charge of the handouts and signage for the presentation...he then asks Aubrey to help out Teresa with the graphics. Then Arsenio asks the background singers to go into the studio, which then Aubrey goes in and joins the singers...Arsenio is over her.

Team Forte starts writing the lyrics for the jingle...Lisa is writing them and Dayana wants to do it together, which Lisa is over. They finally get Clay in the studio to sing and Dayana is trying to take over...telling him to sing this way or that way and we should have girls singing it. Then Lisa goes in to speak some words and Dayana says to speak in a nicer tone...both Lisa and Clay want to kill her. Clay said she is trying to take charge of something she has no clue on how to do it.

Donald Trump, Jr. comes to visit Team Unanimous...they end up singing the jingle for him. Aubrey tells him off to the side that she has done everything and Arsenio can't make a decision and always comes up with an excuse. Donald Jr. is surprised by this and thinks they will never be able to have an effective work-product.

Dayana is worried about having a ‘60s theme onstage for the presentation as well and wants to bring a hippie up there, but Clay and Lisa shoot down that idea. Donald Jr. arrives to visit them and then the claws come out. Dayana says Clay has done all the work, which Lisa says it has been Clay and Lisa doing all the work. Dayana proceeds to say Lisa has been her normal loud self, which she so hasn't been loud at all. This sets Lisa off and she says Dayana is a bitch and says she can do this task all on her own and storms off...get it girl.

Dayana then gets to work on the signage and graphic design and Lisa comes back. The fighting continues and Lisa demands an apology...it never happens, so Lisa determines that she will never get an apology and she will work her butt off the remainder of this task and then bury her in the boardroom.

Arsenio sends Teresa and Aubrey over to the dance studio to work on the presentation. Arsenio stays back at the recording studio. Teresa and Aubrey have no clue on what they are supposed to be doing, so they call Arsenio to see what he wants them to do...he has no clue. So, he gives them direction and they get to the dance studio and Aubrey changes it up to what she wants. They are working with the dancers and the mascot when Arsenio arrives. Aubrey moved Arsenio's drumming from the beginning to the end and this makes Arsenio angry, so he doesn't want to do the drums anymore...Teresa offers to do the drums because she is worried how the presentation will go with the tension between Aubrey and Arsenio.

Team Forte gets to the dance studio for rehearsals and Clay is working with the backup singers and dancers when Dayana steps in to give him advice, which finally sets Clay off. This is what he does and she wants to give her advice, yet again. Either tell him what to do or let him do his thing...she finally backs off and tells him to do it.

Time for the presentations: Team Forte is up first. Clay and Dayana were out on the stage, while Dayana was backstage the whole time. The presentation went well and then Dayana comes out and wraps it up, without a microphone, and was very boring and just said thank you...kind of a very boring end to a good performance.

Now time for Team Unanimous: Arsenio and Teresa start the presentation out, which they think they did great, but Aubrey said they are horrible. The rest of the presentation was fun, but it was very cheesy and seemed to be too much going on on that stage...they were more contemporary, but it was a mess onstage...Team Forte was very organized. The executive liked them both...thought Forte was more conservative in their presentation, but he thought Aubrey was too revealing in her cheerleading outfit.

Time for the boardroom: Arsenio said he is confident they have won...he said there was a conflict with Aubrey, but that is a given each task...all love for Team Unanimous right now. Now to Team Forte and you know no love there...Lisa says fire Dayana if they lose and her and Clay did everything. Dayana says it is tough to work with people that don't listen to her. Donald Jr. asks Dayana about when he was visiting and what happened. She just said it is difficult to lead Lisa.

Dayana says she has no respect for Lisa and her mouth and Lisa said she has no respect for Dayana because she has no ideas. Their fighting just continues and continues...Aubrey sticks up for Lisa and they show their love for each other. Trump asks Arsenio if he would take Dayana over Aubrey and he says he would stick with Aubrey...and the fighting continues between Dayana and Lisa...and we don't even know who won and lost yet. By the looks of it, I think Team Forte will win just to keep that drama going next week and why they are showing so much of it tonight. Clay finally gets a chance to talk and says he agrees with what Lisa has said.

After all of that fighting, let's get a winner...the winner of this task is Team Unanimous, so is it time for Dayana to go home? I think it will happen, but it will get very ugly until then...or maybe she will quit? Dayana said it was hard for her to be heard and be respected, but Trump said isn't respect earned? Ivanka said if she can't lead Lisa maybe she should have neutralized her. Everything is going in the direction of Dayana getting fired, let's hope! Trump said she has been here seven times and has escaped safely, but this time she is fired...hooray! They give hugs to each other on the way out and Lisa does say she is a good person.
