Fifteen contestants remain On The Lot - with Claudia, Phil and Carolina heading home after last weeks comedic attempts at short films. Host Adrianna Costa struggled through both the screening and the results show, which may have led FOX to reformat this week's show. The quick change from a two day format - to a one day format - has sped up the delivery of the show making for a more viewable program. Only five filmmakers are featured this week ... with America voting for their favorite and the contestant with the fewest votes going home next week.

Guest Judge this week: Known for The Rock and Aramagedan - Michael Bay.

This week's films were ....

Sam Friedlander - Broken Pipe Dreams - a short about a man dropping the engagement ring for his girlfriend down the toilet. He must overcome his fear and save the ring! Several obstacles are in the way, but the man overcomes them all to successfully retrieve the ring. A terrific saga that is executed well, Sam's film was really compelling for a short.

Carrie Fisher: I liked that the character was a hero and he overcame his adversary. Very cute -very surreal. I really liked it a lot.

Gary Marshal: I understood the plot of your film better than all three Mission Impossibles. You made the toilet a character -which was great. Excellent film making.

Michael Bay: "Did you kill that fish during production?" Could have tightened up editing because it got repetitive. But it was fun.

Trever James - A blind date comedy - Terry. A man must deal with his fears over meeting his blind date. He imagines all sorts of scenarios in meeting horrific women .. and his fear intensifies. In the end he ends up with a pleasant surprise. While this film was shot well, and was really cute, I personally didn't find it overly comedic.

CF: Cute - well made. I thought if you were going to have someones fears - then go all the way and have a murderer at the end. I thought it was good overall

MB: Good comic pacing overall. It's a bit of a retread - I feel like I've seen it before. Work on photography and style.

GM: All in all, you could do a little better compared to all these people.

Hilary Wiesman - The First Time I Met The Finklesteins - A young ladies first meeting with her boyfriends family. The parents end up to be a nightmare - abusing every political correct taboo imaginable! Funny ... but bordering on uncomfortable to watch!

CF: You do yourself a disservice with the Direction. I'm a little worried - I like the writing - but you could have pulled back on the Direction

MB: The dialog made it uncomfortable. It just didn't work for me.

GM: Too tight with these shots - BACK UP! You got to make yourself more of a filmaker.

Adam Stein - Dough The Musical - a Romantic Comedy. A young baker sings his desire to meet his dream girl. While a young woman sings of finding the perfect job. Complete with dream sequence in the middle of the short! The couple in the end find exactly what they wanted! Very well shot - very funny indeed!! Great short!

CF: Incredibly original!! I thought it was a really good job - totally entertaining.

MB: Very fun. I had a great time watching it. Work more on photography and get more style there.

GM: Work on the two actors looking at each other more - chemistry between actors is an important part of filmmaking.

Shalini Kantayya - Laughing Out Loud - a comic journey. The story of a gay South Asian comic who is trying to accept himself for who he is. The filmaker admits she took a risk by telling such a controversial story, and that it may be unrelatable to the audience. I found the film to be very compelling. I was drawn to the character and wanted to root for him. It was very good - I'd give Shalini the "Best Film" vote this week.

CF: Really well made - but I thought the advice "Be Yourself" - could be better. We've heard that a lot.

MB: In 3 minutes you told a very succinct story and you gave me chills. You have the most visual style than anyone up here tonight.

GM: The film doesn't have to be linear - but it has to engage you. You have to work on that because we need women film makers.

The Judges favorites : Carrie Fisher - Sam, Michael Bay - Shalini, Gary Marshal - Adam. The contestants pick - Shalini.

Adrianna Costa did a better job this week .. though she did have a few moments stumbling over her words. She needs to stop using the misnomer "You Guys" before I'll take her seriously. But a much better performance compared to last week.

Tune in to FOX next week at 8:00ET for the results ... and to see another group of five filmmakers with their three minute shorts.
