Adrian Dortch from The Biggest Loser 13

When Adrian and his sister Daphne earned a place back on The Biggest Loser ranch after being eliminated the first day, they were overcome with joy but not everyone shared their feelings. They were split up, with Daphne going to the black team and Adrian going to the red team. If Daphne's team wasn't happy about her being there, they kept it quiet while the red team caused perhaps more drama than we've ever seen on the show. When they lost this week's weigh in, they voted him out and we talked to him today to get his reaction to his rollercoaster of a Biggest Loser experience.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Whose idea was it for you and Daphne to try out for The Biggest Loser?
A. Adrian: It was my idea to try out for The Biggest Loser. I thought it would be a good way to hang out with my sister, and if we got a chance to be on the ranch and lose weight, that would be a plus.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: How difficult was it to be sent home on that first day and how did it motivate you?
A. Adrian: It hurt really bad not to go through those gates that night. Both my sister and I have health problems due to being overweight. We really wanted to be on the ranch. We really needed this. But, my sister told me, "It's okay, everything happens for a reason." So we went home with our heads to the sky. We stayed focused, worked out 8 -14 hours a day, and watched what we ate. We totally committed ourselves to this weight loss journey and making it back to the ranch.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: When you earned your spot back on the ranch, your red team felt like you came in very loud and arrogant. When you watch it back on television, do you see what they see?
A. Adrian: I worked really hard to get back on the ranch. I should be proud of myself - losing 34 pounds in a month is not easy. My teammates were the ones who asked me what kind of routine and diet I was on at home. It's not my fault that they didn't like the answer they heard.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What do you feel Conda's major issue with you was?
A. Adrian: I'm not sure. The great thing about The Biggest Loser ranch is that they have psychologists there who would probably be better to not only answer that question, but also help her work out whatever issue she might be having.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: On this week's episode, Roy was the only person who didn't vote for you. How do you feel about him?
A. Adrian: Roy was the only one who reached out to me. He was very helpful and insightful at times.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: Why didn't you let Mark talk to you when you walked out of the elimination ceremony?
A. Adrian: Action and words go together, and he had said and shown me all that I needed to hear and see .

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: What were some of the biggest things you learned on the ranch, both personally and health wise?
A. Adrian: Personally, I learned that I had all the tools all along to be successful in my weight loss journey. I feel we all know what we should do - it's just being courageous enough to do it. I had a great experience on the ranch. I ate some of the best organic foods and worked out with really good trainers. Yes, it got crazy on the ranch, but whatever doesn't break you will make you stronger.

Q. Gina, RealityWanted: You've already proven that you can lose weight at home. How are things going for you now, as you prepare for the live finale?
A. Adrian: Since I've been home, I haven't lost focus or sight of my new way of living, which consists of working out hard and eating right. It's a little harder now, but not impossible. I'm back at work with my multimedia production company and nonprofit, and am taking care of my family. Yes, it's a lot of work, but hey... welcome to the real world.
