This week on RHOA, we began with Kim preparing for a showdown with NeNe heading to the firing range with Kroy and baby Kroy in tow. Kroy said that he wanted Kim to be familiar with guns and wanted her to buy one, and Kim only seems to be interested in the idea if the gun is pink. Kim got to shoot a bunch of different guns on the range, and as it turned out, she's a great shot. Watch out, ladies! Don't mess with Kim! She did end up buying a gun at the end of the day, and the baby slept through the entire thing. Who brings their baby to a gun range?!?
Holy purple dress, Batman! Cynthia and Peter, somehow still together, met up with Phaedra and Apollo to bury the hatchet of the...ahem..."unpleasantness" of Kim's baby shower. As it turned out, Apollo and Peter got along well, as did the ladies, and the lunch went well enough, with the foursome talking about marriage, Phaedra wants Cynthia to do make up for dead people, and the like. Then Phaedra said that she was planning a big trip to South Africa, and wanted all the girls to come. Cynthia was excited about it, and of course, rushed outside afterwards to call her best friend on the planet, NeNe.
NeNe was less than thrilled about the prospect of going to South Africa, and in fact would not travel to the trash can with Phaedra. That seems unfair...NeNe wouldn't invite Phaedra to her house? That's in poor taste.
Then Nene met up with her alleged business partner to have an alleged meeting to discuss designs for her alleged lounge that she'd like to allegedly open up. Said lounge, we found out, will cost over a million dollars, and as her business partner (who is putting up most and possibly all of the money for this) said that he wanted the business split 51% to 49%, favoring him, NeNe had the nerve to say that he only gets 40%! How selfish can the woman be?!? Oh wait, another pair of Louboutins (GOD, WILL ANYONE EVER PRONOUNCE HIS NAME RIGHT?!?) answered that question for us. NeNe said that as long as this man keeps giving her gifts, she'll stick around. Trifling.
Meanwhile, Kandi went to an African dance class with Phaedra, and afterwards she showed her all the mug shots of Marlo that she'd found. Apparently, Marlo didn't tell NeNe everything about her criminal past - Kandi found out that Marlo was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon for trying to stab somebody. Sure, this could be a vicious rumor, but the woman WAS arrested seven times. That doesn't come from nowhere...
Kim and Kroy took the baby to her psychic, the woman now famous for predicting that Kroy squared would come into Kim's life in the first place. This time, Rose predicted that Kim would have another baby, a girl, and that it wouldn't be a full term pregnancy. Her marriage with Kroy (which, up to this point in the show, hasn't happened yet), will last forever. The baby won't marry young, and Kroy has a lot of nervousness about the NFL lockout.
Then Phaedra and Sheree went to the Apex Museum to look at a display all about slavery. Their tour guide, while all three were in a room with a mannequin clad only in a cloth and chained to the wall, was explaining that most slaves that were chained up like this were not wearing anything and were forced to stay that way. Phaedra and Sheree reacted by stating that the mannequin was hot, which was ignorant and I'm sure drew criticism from just about anybody with a brain.
In the museum gift shop, Phaedra asked Sheree to come to South Africa, and Sheree said she wouldn't let NeNe hold her back from a trip like that. Looks like there may be some drama coming!
Then it was time for Kandi's big dinner with her mom, and all of the girls were invited to have a good time before they leave for Africa. As expected, Kim and Sheree came in (separately), sat on the opposite side of the table from NeNe and the women did not even acknowledge each other. Mama Joyce was talking about the disaster of Kandi's birthday party, and then I was convinced that she was actually Mama Joyce Brothers. Here's why...
Mama Joyce tried to play peacemaker between Kim, Sheree, and NeNe, stating that the women had been friends for far too long to act this way toward each other. Joyce forced them to say hello to each other, and although her intentions were good, it really backfired in her face. Sheree said that you can't make people make up with each other, they have to want to, and she doesn't want to. Kim said that she and NeNe were pretty much divorced and she doesn't think they'll ever be friends again. NeNe said that the situation is what it is. Even though Mama Joyce did a good thing, she should have known that in this group, you can't even lead the horse to water, much less make her drink.
Outside, Kim said she'd never talk to NeNe again, and NeNe said she was open to thinking about coming to Africa. She must have made up her mind, because the preview for next week shows that she's not only going - she's inviting MARLO. This is gonna get interesting, y'all.
