It may have been Michael Jackson night last night on The X Factor, but the singers were smooth criminals when they bored me to tears last night.
Hopefully they get better next week, but only five of them will have the chance to wow me with this being another double-elimination night! Remember, singer with least amount of votes automatically goes home and then next lowest two will sing for survival.
They start out singing "Man In The Mirror" and it was a decent job. It's one of my favorite Michael songs, so I got into it more then last night's songs. We then take a look at a recap from last night and all the backstage shenanigans we didn't see last night.
They bring out the Top 7 to get to the results...kinda early, but I don't mind. The first three that are safe: Chris Rene (ugh, I think he should be going home), Melanie Amaro (yay, but expected) and Rachel Crow (YAY...I was worried for her).
We take a commercial break, before coming back to talk with Josh Krajcik, Marcus Canty, Astro and Drew about their feelings on possibly going home...amazingly Steve Jones, they all have worried looks on their faces...duh!
Tonight's special guest performance is by Tinie Tempah, before we get back to the results...I'm still ticked Chris Rene is not still on that stage! The last act safe is Josh Krajcik (yay). Drew, Astro and Marcus are left...one will be going home for sure and two will be singing for survival. The act with the lowest votes and going home is Astro.
That leaves us with Drew and Marcus to battle it out to see who will still be around to sing next week...with Marcus being in the bottom two last week, I think he is going home, but we shall see.
Drew takes the stage first and I enjoyed her...she came out with the big guns and I just love her unique voice. It is time for Marcus and I got chills from that one. I feel he came out with bigger guns, but what will the judges vote?
The judges' votes to send home: L.A. votes Drew, Simon votes Marcus (after giving a speech to persuade Nicole and Paula to vote Marcus), Nicole votes Drew and Paula votes Drew, so she will be going home (I am shocked, but Marcus did put it all out there for that survival song). And I liked her until her final words were that she did this all for Jesus...what? Not for the contract or the publicity, but for Jesus? And you can finally say it? Fox wouldn't let you say it before?
The X Factor airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8/7c on Fox.
