This week on Dancing With the Stars, one couple is finally named champion! 

 

Each couple performed two more dances, but before they danced, Lady Antebellum performed. 

 

Round 1 determined which couple would be in third place. 

 

Ricki and Derek started off Round 1 with their favorite dance of the season – Tango. Len said that is one of the most memorable dances of all the seasons. Bruno said it was an unforgettable dance. Carrie Ann said it was beyond perfection. 

 

Rob and Cheryl chose to re-do their Fox Trot that Rob dedicated to his father. Bruno said he has really improved beyond anyone’s expectations. Carrie Ann said he has grown so much and she is very proud. Len said he has the best footwork of any guy he has seen on the show. 

 

JR and Karina were last to perform in Round 1. Their favorite dance of the season was the Jive, so they decided to do it again. Carrie Ann said he had a rough time out there. Len said he has a sparkling personality that lights up the room. Bruno said it was fun, fun, fun and he loved it. 

 

The couples were ranked by the judges from first to last for their dances in Round 1: 

 

1st: Ricki and Derek – 30 points. When combined with their judge’s points from last night, their overall total was 84. 

2nd: JR and Karina – 28 points. When combined with their judge’s points from last night, their overall total was 82.

3rd: Rob and Cheryl – 26 points. When combined with their judge’s points from last night, their overall total was 83.

 

After combining the judge’s score with America’s votes, Ricki and Derek were revealed to be in third place. 

 

Both finalists had one remaining dance, the Instant Samba. They found out their song was “Shake Your Bon Bon” by Ricky Martin and immediately went to go rehearse. 

 

While they prepared, all of the couples from the season returned to dance. 

 

JR and Karina performed their final dance of the season first. Rob and Cheryl immediately followed with their Instant Samba as well. Len stood and clapped for both couples and all they have accomplished this season. Bruno said JR can turn it on and Rob learned how to use his bon bon. Carrie Ann said that both of them are winners and it was a great way to end the season. 

 

Both couples received a perfect 30 for their final dance. 

 

With the viewer’s votes added into their totals, the time finally came to reveal the new champions of Dancing With the Stars. 

 

And the winner is… JR AND KARINA!
